Didn't mind it, but it kinda of reminded me of Aliens to alien 3 in terms of connecting the previous film, similar ideas.

Also not much in terms of surprises, Stevie wonder knew that was David

Nope released a statement saying it was fun while it lasted but it didn’t gain the traction he was hoping for.

Well yeah after Fox said NO to funding the next one...I'd like him to do The Prisoner, one of like 40 movies he's attached to

Part of me still wishes they'd go with the Blomkamp Alien 5 (AKA Alien 3 2.0) to see Ripley and Hicks again but the other part says ''Nope. Bad idea''

So yeah, probably just let it die.

It really seems to be the sequel we always wanted, but if it doesn't work I'd definitely lose all faith in this franchise. Probably better to let it die.

Aliens is a nice bookend to the series, just like T2 was for that one. Both are very self contained and leave no loose ends.

Ripley, Hicks, Newt and half a Bishop returned to Earth.

THE END.

This franchise died with Ripley in A3. Yes, A3 is a good sequel, deal with it! :wave
And it's not like there was no awful comics and books before and after A3...

Bein' prequels to ALIEN is the only thing I hate about Brometheus and Covernant.
They're really cool horror flicks that got tainted by the shoehorned connections.

Having said that as Khev said before, if one wants to disregard Alien 3 because the ''harsh reality'' ending wasn't what they wanted then Aliens is a fine 'happy' ending. You can pretend Ripley and Hicks got together, became parents to Newt and all was well.

Blomkamp's film probably would have killed Hicks again anyway :lol

bummer i would have liked too see how this ends even if they weren't great movies...Convenant is completely pointless to watch now too many questions left unanswered at the end. This is what happens when you plan on sequels that don't happen and end movies on major cliffhangers rather then having self contained stories.. Counting your chickens before they hatch so to speak... what happened to Ridley scott anyway???. he used to make such great movies but its been years since he has had a major hit...maybe he should retire or something
