Having said that as Khev said before, if one wants to disregard Alien 3 because the ''harsh reality'' ending wasn't what they wanted then Aliens is a fine 'happy' ending. You can pretend Ripley and Hicks got together, became parents to Newt and all was well.

Blomkamp's film probably would have killed Hicks again anyway :lol

lolol :lol

But at least it would’ve been a heroic on screen wheelchair death.

bummer i would have liked too see how this ends even if they weren't great movies...Convent is completely pointless to watch now too many questions left unanswered at the end. This is what happens when you plan on sequels that don't happen and end movies on major cliffhangers rather then having self contained stories.. Counting your chickens before they hatch so to speak... what happened to Ridley scott anyway???. he used to make such great movies but its been years since he has had a major hit...maybe he should retire or something

If only a-dev could think this way. :monkey2

Like his brother?

Wow lol

I appreciate Alien 3 nowadays, even with the **** stain CGI.
If you mean xeno himself then it's a puppet. :D

The only cg parts of it were shadows and cracking head effect at the end.

Yep, it looked pretty damn dated even back then.
Blame 20CF tho, who refused to spend money on better FX.
No wonder why Fincher hates this movie. :(

The last time an Alien film felt like an Alien film.

A3 had the best music score, in my humble opinion.
90's Goldenthal is just out of this world.

It contributed a lot to the spiritual feel of that film.

Yeah, I'm also sorry that Scott didn't get to finish this. I liked both Prometheus and Covenant, and wanted to know where David would lead us.

He wishes for a trilogy to be split into a trilogy. :lol

Intrilogize your trilogy today!

Magnificent. The only track I don't like in the score is ''Wreckage and ****'' - it goes off on a it of a silly sounding tangent. I think DiFabio pointed out that he (Goldenthal) basically used the same piece of music in Batman Forever. I just didn't like it in an Alien film.

The score I listen to the least (other than Alien Resurrection which I pretty much never listen to) is Jerry Goldsmith's one for the first film. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't change it for the world, it's perfect for that film. I just find it relatively more boring as a listening experience alone when compared to Aliens and Alien 3. Aliens combines some great mood-setting stuff with probably some of the best action scoring there is.
