And Fiennes. When I first saw it, I was like whoa.

Oh yeah, him as well. The point was the unpredictability there. When you see such major actors you don't expect them to die a few minutes later, thus creating a sense of realism. Pity for them being "wasted", but it made the flick feel more real. With an Alien movie, I'm not sure that's going to work.

Was at a Fox presentation this morning and we saw some scenes.

Spoiler

First the style was very close to the Martian, go pro, surveillance feeds, handheld, raw.
In crude light scenes we saw 2 humans having their back/neck and throat punctured by alien babies.
Quite brutal seriously, blood geysers...
The actors were drooling, screaming, sweating... Very violent...

The Covenant transports 2000 colons, a few are awaken, all are couples.
Gone the sleek production designs of Prometheus, this looks more likes Aliens than alien btw.

Teaser was alienish, Quick shots of aliens, various shots if the héroïne running in corridors shooting at things, etc...
Finishes with fassbender having a dialogue with the heroine.
Maybe it was just a teaser of the teaser...

The teaser Will be released in 2 weeks.

They did. And only NECA made a figure. But HT couldn't give two ****s about anything that isn't Marvel DC or Star Wars so why bother.

Overall, the earliest proposed birthdate for Millennials is 1976 and the latest 2004. Given that a familial generation in developed nations lies somewhere between 25 and 30 years, we might reasonably consider those the start and end points.

is true I have been wondering how you could end up with

a ship filled with the 'new dna' xeno eggs with huggers if the first xeno creation would be an android/xeno hybrid, where would a queen come from to lay the eggs? Unless they really are going to go down the road of the egg morphing thing, which for some reason i've always thought was a cop out way to explain things

Nothing past ALIEN3 makes sense at all, especially Brometheus.
Just relax and watch good actors doin' dumb **** while surrounded with cool visuals.

The Queen never really made any sense. Cameron just wanted a big, giant monster for the climax.

No. The egg had to be 'created'. Who's to say it was 'laid'. That's terrestrial thinking.

1st egg could have been created as a weapon. Could be self-generating. Facehugger could be the origin animal. Or it could be something that has evolved for so long it has no beginning. Like... where did humans come from? Someone had to **** to make the first human, right?
