Yeah I think it's just a matter of showcasing such intelligent with little drops and with taste, not make gaudy statements.

Pretty much, yeah. Comic Book writers aren't trained professionals in the sciences, so they tend to go overboard sometimes. Moon Girl is the "best" example about this. Personally I prefer feats being added over time.

Yeah Luthor having a freak accident to gain powers pretty much goes against the character.

True, but I wasn't talking about that. Kinda. I had this "idea" that you have Lex start off like any other super-genius, but slowly his hate for Kal takes him over, and he starts experimenting with Kryptonite, making his whole body toxic against Superman. This causes him to go from a ginger to a bald guy, and also boosts his intelligence to that OTT level.

So, Metallo and Luthor have a baby?

Kinda. Nothing drastic, so you wouldn't have super-powered Luthor with visibly green veins and ****, just a small tint in his bloodstream, maybe some coating in his organs. Just enough to make early Supes dizzy whenever he's around him. Like I said, not the brightest idea, but just an AU "what if".

Talk about a terrible choice in music.

agreed seems to be the norm with anything now, have some insipid pop music to get the tween audience interested I bet.

Between all of the trailers, clips and alien day footage shown at the movie, I feel as if I've seen approximately 2/3 of this movie! I still wonder as to WHY so much footage has been shown. Could mean it's a hail mary marketing pass as maybe the movie isn't all that great. I myself have low expectations but hope to be surprised.

That was terrible. Both for the choice of music and the fact that characters can now seemingly interact with the ship's computer just like in Star Trek and get an audio response to every question they ask. Is this a prequel to Alien or not? They had to type on a keyboard in the original film. The only time the computer ever spoke out loud was ''this ship will automatically self destruct in T-minus 4 minutes'' - Ripley shouts at the computer at one point but she doesn't get a response of any kind. I always assumed it was Ripley just being dramatic. Was she actually expecting Muthr to answer? If so then why weren't they doing that throughout the movie?

Likewise in Aliens and Alien 3 - it's all typing interaction. Dunno about Resurrection, I haven't watched it much.

terrible terrible clip. everytime I see something that gets me hyped for this movie I see something like that and I'm astounded by how crap the acting is, how D-movie it looks.

Here's the clip of the end when they meet Old Man David, and you find out that Shaw and Daniels are part of a reoccuring anomaly in the universe where they're forced to fight extraterrestrials.

Aside from the prologue clip that actually made me excited to see it, this looks like dung.

That clip- awful- really bad acting- what is up with this- really?
The David/Shaw clip was impressive and great- but the content of this film itself just looks like B movie stuff at best
Not counting Ridley out just yet, though!

Holy crap that was syfy bad.

It was like one of those Amazon Alexa commercials.

Mother what is the temperature outside.

Alien 3 looks like a masterpiece compared to that.

Why wasn't Ripley able to ask the Nostromo's computer where the Alien was at any given time? That would have been handy.

''Muthr, where is the Alien right now?''

Oh, it's resting in the shuttle.

:horror ''***t!!! Cancel the self-destruct!!''

No can do! Have a safe trip.
