I think you are being to harsh on Neca. The Gears of war figures look great and so do the conan figures.
Also I have the 19" Gandalf, Aragorn and legolas by Neca and they are very detailed figures

Doesn't matter what they have done in the past, Stuntman Mike looks like ^^^^.

Whats funny is the Tarantino figure from Grindhouse came out really nice looking (used a colored plastic that looked realistic) but then when the release a more interesting character it looks like crap.

Neca have done some awesome stuff but they are really go down hill of late.
There biggest market seems to be the 7 inch figures and that seems to be a dying community. They should really concentrate more on the 12 inch stuff.
I foresee them going the way mcfarlane did. If it wasn't for sports figures mcfarlane would be bye bye.

The way this reads is hilarious. It's not "this/that figure" it's just "Stuntman Mike looks like ^^^^." hahahahahahahahaha..
I guess the name still cracks me up.

The first series of Harry Potter had the colored plastic. NECA said it was the factory's fault, they weren't supposed to be like that.

I like it better that way. Less of sloppy paint apps. Some people though it was toyish (they had the OMG it's not painted, it's a toy! mentality). I think they look more real.

Hot Toys does it.

Got to love the eyebrows on Stuntman Mike. It looks like the sculpted eyebrows are not even there anymore.

If that's real then that
is just plain ridiculous...

Not good. But I saw the Dumbledore/Harry 2 pack from Sorcerer's Stone and it looked great. Neca's always been hit or miss, IMO, and continue the trend.
The Ninja Turtles they made should be 6" scale figures of the year.

Damn that's bad. It happens almost all the time with Neca or Mcfarlane figures that the prototype doesn't match, but that is just wrong.
Weird coming from the same guys that did an amazing Kratos and Marcus Fenix. Their Player Select is their strongest line, I wonder if they have different sculptors.

The second head (Stuntman Mike comes with 2) looks slightly better than the first, but it's still wonky:

I guess when Stuntman Mike wears his shades his 5 o'clock shadow goes nuts and as soon as he takes them off all the stubble from his beard falls off!? Also note: the scar on Stuntman Mike's face (left) runs THROUGH his left eyebrow, yet magically on the head with glasses and a cigarette (with the left eyebrow that's horribly crooked) the scar is now at the END of the eyebrow. ugh..

Maybe it's a custom, just to mock NECA? I mean, I have this figure, and although it isin package, you can still see that it look nothing like that and is very close to the proto.
