The first quote that I received to assemble/paint this statue was $650.

Plus another couple hundred for shipping

Yep. Figure probably charging you $200-$250 for the build and $400-$450 for the paint. Thats about average for a 1/4 scale piece custom. You might be able to find some one a little cheaper but the question is are they as good?

I only just started doing custom paints and I was surprised at how few people are out there doing it. But it isnt easy, and all the people I've talked to that do it are very cool and some have helped me greatly.

If you decide to do it, I hope yours comes out great.

Assembly can be complex, but with this one I'm betting its probably 7 pieces max. Not really that bad as builds go. A buddy of mine was doing a predator build recently. Crazy how man tiny intricate pieces that thing came in. For that you'd want someone who has expert build knowledge. For this as long as they are competent you should be fine.

Really? Huh...torso, head, arms, legs, base theres 7. I guess hands, boots, cape...maybe an extra head...thats 13. What else is in the box?

I don't know. Just going by the first post in the thread which says "1/4th scale 14 PC resin model kit".

I'm conflicted. I love the sculpt, but it's a lot of dough. Do you guys really think we're going to see a Kingdom Come Supes from Sideshow in the near future?

Also depends on what you mean by "near future". If you mean the next year maybe not. The next two to three, I'd give it about 70% chance of happening.

Mmmm I don't know man. I thought aboutbit if they do a Batman for my collection but thats a lot of money to have to do a ton of work yourself. Then again, it is kinda cool to be able to paint it however you want.

Yeah I'll have to give it some thought. If it were about $150 less I'd probably bite easy and take my time assembling it in between other projects. But at $450-$550...like I said. Lot of money to do basically half the work of statue production yourself.

I do like the black more. It's different and true to Kingdom Come.
