PS4 OR Xbox One?

I'm going to get a ps4 at launch because its a $100 cheaper. I will get a X1 since Microsoft has backed off their stance. So in the end ill get both and have both like I did with this generation.

Makes a lot of sense to me.

But PS4 is going to be a "gaming" system in it's core.

These system are what you make of them. They can both do alot of things. I'll just be gaming on them, so they'll both be gaming consoles.

Agreed, but you don't have to use the extra stuff it you don't want to. To me I think Microsoft's biggest mistake (after they 180'd on the DRM & Perma-online) is including connect and charging $100 more than Sony. Have a bundle with connect and charge more but have a base console the same price as the PS4. That's going to cost them a lot of sales. I think whoever is making the decisions there may have their head up their *** after the success the 360 had.

Agreed, Fritz. The price is going to hurt MS bad if the don't come down. It has nothing extra to warrant that cost except the Kinnect. A device most probably don't want. They need to at least match Sony's price to have a chance.

Actually, 3gb of that 8gb in the Xbox One is reportedly dedicated to maintaining the 3 operating systems it runs, one of which is catered specifically to tv.

Only 5gb is usable for games.

PS4's OS requires a bit over 1gb, by reports.

so im having conflicting thoughts on what I should get first.. for me it all comes down to exclusives.. i'll be getting both no doubt, but so far as a Launch console the Xbox One got better exclusives on its launch day.. maybe things change when Gamescom approaches

I'll get both on launch day cause I'm just an idiot like that, but exclusive are always key...for normal people anyways. Is Killzone and Knack confirmed for launch? They look pretty good. I always get Killzone anyway. Dead Rising is my first One game without a doubt. There's that Insomniac game on the One too that looks good. I think it's a launch title.

Went to GS today and traded in a bunch of 360 games I'll never play again. Got $196 for them and used it to order NCAA Football (360), BF4 (PS4), and put the rest towards a launch PS4. I the had to pay $24 for the PS4 and fully paid off The Order. So now I can make payments on the system and be ready to go in Novemeber.

This is the first time I've really looked at the controllers. Looks like MS is playing it safe. Good call. The d-pad looks to be an improvement, but it's hard to tell from pics.

I already like the new PS4 pad. It's bigger and fuller. Should be more comfortable for me. Won't know how I really feel about it until I get some hands on time. Is there any shots of the triggers yet? Are they convex again?
