I wish you would put me on ignore so you wouldn't mention me in another one of your hissy fits.

I quite enjoy reading about how you're not a troll/fanboy then seeing you contradict that statement page after page. :lol

Im starting to rethink my pre-order of the PS4, purley because of the lack of launch titles i want.

Best off keeping it anyway although I said a month ago the XB1 launch titles were much more appealing (to me). Also it's not just about launch. PS may have some greater games down the line. I'm not that fussed if I miss out on release. I'll let the general public iron out all the bugs on both systems before handing my cash over to either company.

PS is is missing that really high level game that tips the balance IMO but saying that the PS3 games from memory weren't all that flash either. Think it was like Motocross and Resistance - people were playing that for months from memory! :gah:

I never denied I wasn't a fanboy. But I'm just not one of these phonies that claims to not have any bias but only defends one side.

Whats to defend? Look at both sides logically

PS4 - $399, no DRM, releases look a bit iffy, lots of multiplatform games. Potentially more powerful. Online fee.

XB1 - $499, no DRM, releases look slightly better, lots of multiplatform games. Comes with Kinect. Online fee.

To me there's no clear "OMG have to get this because it's wayyyy better system". It either comes down to brand loyalty (which is silly) or the software.

I've got both right now, I'm not sure how that qualifies me as one sided. I think for real hardcore supporters of either system this is probably quite a hard idea to comprehend. At least going around the net it is, which is admittedly a bad environment to have sane debates.

I never said you were one sided or one is the definitive console to get. I'm speaking generally that there is a lot of hypocrisy in this thread and not once have I claimed I'm something I'm not and I've been pretty honest in that regard. I'm a Sony fanboy, and the Xbone is not for me. It comes down to preference and cash flow essentially.

I think what we need now is a hands on with both systems. This E3 show was just a smoke screen/marketing show which PS4 won very convincingly in pretty much all area's.

I really want to see the boxes in action. My mates are actually getting the PS4 (or at least for now) so I may end up with the same system just to keep it friendly, since experiencing games with mates is a large part of gaming (imo).

As tight as it is for me the PS4 will probably just edge it. Right now though I feel the Xb1 has more to talk about in terms of technology/games etc etc. Nothing on the PS4 is getting me that excited (everything seems really generic with better graphics) but like I said the PS3 had a rubbish opening few months too (from what I remember).

Ive seen a few things in regards to the polls. I cant think that Xbox fanboys would be retarded enough to actually want restrictions on their console. it MUST be Sony fanboys trolling to get the Xbox buried. Surely nobody is stupid enough to ask a company to take away their rights to lend people their game, make them sign in and all that other ****. Surely.

what MS obviously noticed is

with their DRM policies = no money

Policies Reversal = More Money

so why would they go back to their original plan?
as a business stand point that's just stupidity, and suicide .

It would be suicide if they went back.

They should have combined the good parts of both--like you can play your games without the disc, and that the game gets added to your online account so you can download it if you need to. But the 24 hour checkin was not necessary and they could have easily setup something simple that would allow people to share and sell the game.

I was one of the (very few) backers that could appreciate what the DRM was trying to achieve in the bigger picture - Without the retarded rules though obviously (24hr thing etc - Even though personally that didn't bother me).

It did have potential, it was just sold in the worst possible way at the worst possible time by the worst possible man. Three strikes.

If MS really wanted to get a leg up they should have kept the family stuff AND removed the check in/sharing plans. They might have even found themselves in an even better position than Sony and turned the tables.

Like others have suggested, I don't know why they didn't just give people the option between either 1) being always online and not requiring the disc be in the system, or 2) being offline and inserting the disc.

Im starting to rethink my pre-order of the PS4, purley because of the lack of launch titles i want.

The only game that interests me is Watch Dogs, maybe Knack.
Im not a fan of driving sims, Killzone and i got bored of Assasins Creed with the 2nd

The more time passes, the more I'm starting to re-think both my pre-orders. There are really no titles that I need on either (maybe Dead Rising 3 even though I havn't played the others, and maybe Diablo III since I haven't got around to getting it on the PC). X1 pre-order is barely hanging on by a thread as I really don't like or care for Kinect (I'm not arguing it's usefulness, just that it's not for me). And really, what is the point of getting the PS4 right now if there aren't any games I want initially? My problem is I like having new stuff. :lol

Shadowfall/Warframe and Dead Rising 3/Ryse are my day one picks.

Especially when we were getting annoying critics keep on going on about how consoles were dying out because people would prefer to play games on there's phones :cuckoo:

Good to see both these consoles selling so well.

Since none of these companies ever publicly release their pre-order allocation numbers it's impossible to tell. A "sell out" could simply be 500 pre-orders because that's the total amount of consoles that particular store was allocated. :dunno

Also more than likely the orders are free of charge to existing members via reward points or simply a few details and a signature.

Here in Australia there is only a $50 difference between the consoles making the Xb1 slightly more attractive for those on the fence.
