Just FYI - I thought PSN being down = no Netflix. Not so. Just launch Netflix, hit sign in, it will fail, then try again and it will fail, after the second (or maybe third?) try, you'll be able to get in to Netflix. This tip courtesy of my 8 y/o who schooled me yesterday when I said I'd need to hook the laptop to the TV for Netflix while PSN was down.

this is just an other example of why Xbox 360 is way better.

Yeah, that time Xbox Live was down for a week around Christmas in 2007 was way better than this because we got to pay for that downtime. Awesome!

Microsoft is always good about paying the users back for downtime. Heck, I got a free Arcade game for downtime once.

For the sake of keeping things cool, I am not going to say anything other than I respectfully disagree with your reply to my previous post.

Worse yet, what if the movie studios come down on some of our fine customizers here because they are selling facsimile's of a product and profiting from a license they do not own?

Are customizers not selling pirated products on this very board?

It becomes an issue when you distribute pirated content.

Customizers get slapped when they start selling large amounts of their "pirated figures".

Geohotz distributed the pirated code. The intent was to break Sony's code and share it with everyone.

Nobody cares if you download massive amount of music, but when you're on torrents and sharing your massive amounts of music, that's when you get sued. If Geohotz was truly just doing it for his own enjoyment, and not sharing it and boasting about it, Sony wouldn't have given two shakes about it. Once you start talking about what you're doing and making a big to-do about it, that's when companies have to lawyer up and protect their intellectual property.

I remember that scene! It's funny, about all the stuff that you can do when the TV... computer, video game console, etc is turned off. As a result of the PSN being down, I actually went outside for my spring break!

you can still play netflix. when it asks you to log in just try and then it time out and your netflix will pull up. when it asks you again just try it again and after it times out it wont ask you to log in again. you can then watch all the netflix your heart desires.
