Punisher custom

So I've ordered a hot toy s truetype body, a Black superhero body suit, a pair of rambo's black pants, a Triad toys Knight rider 2.0 trenchcoat. I've got him his hands, and a few guns. there are only two things left for my punisher custom figure. He needs a hot toys compatable head, As well as I need to find a way to put a skull on ihis chest. My IDEAL headsculpt for the punisher would have been the Hot toys Lincolin Burrows Prison break headscuplt

and then simply add some hair to it. However, I can't find one by itself. I personaly prefer the head and neck to be separate like the lic figure, but i'll take what I can get. My second choice, and What I'll likely end up doing, as I can get the figure kinda cheap Is this guy

those are my plans for now, anyways. Allthough, If ANYONE has any suggestions for alternate heads, i'd GLADLY ttake suggestions. Or if anyone has a source on a Lincolin burows, that would also Rock.

SOmething else i need to find are a set of left and right leg Drop down holsters for his .45's I can find Right leg holsters, but Left leg HOlsters are so very rare. any help there?

And lastly, I need to figure out a way to put the skull on his chest. Right now, my plan is a fabric useable paint pen. however, if anyone has any other good sugestions, Please share them.

You could cut out a piece of thin white vinyl or fabric and glue it to the chest for an emblem. That would look sharper. If you do paint it, I suggest you mask it first. Actually, as long as you're masking it, perhaps there is a fabric SPRAY paint you could use. that would look the best, I think. That is of course, so long as you don't stretch it much with repeated posing. If you stretch it, the painted on emblem may crack. For repeated posing, I suggest the vinyl fabric glued on, or perhaps white vinyl tape.

Ok. ANy idea where to even start to find this type of thing? Also, how well do you think it will hold to the Spandex?

Sign vinyl is pretty sticky, or can be. It's on race cars, and it hasn't ever tried to come off. However, I think I have an even better idea. HP makes iron on transfers for t shirts and the like. I've used it to make T shirt Iron Ons of a car picture I designed. It's much thinner, and I think much more in scale than the vinyl. Only problem is, you must be very precise when you place it and iron it on. You must be very careful not to inadvertently move it when you put the iron down on the fabric before it adheres. The stuff looks good. Like all iron ons, it cracks when washed, but that won't be a problem, here. If you misalign it however, lots of luck getting it off.You might be able to hold it in place with tape in some spots and then sort of tack weld the iron on down, and then remove the tape to finish. The Iron On comes in white or black I think.

Those have a very nice design, and perhaps the 3" size will work. At that price, I would try them if the size was right. You don't really know if they will stick to fabric, ie conform to the shape of his body without lifting on the edges of it until you try it. The chrome would be an interesting variant, I think a black and chrome Punisher to go with a black and white.

i like this idea best. one question. for the bodysuit, I'm using one of the triad toys black spandex suits. I know very little about spandex. would an Iron on work for that?

I am making a Hot Toys body Punisher too. My skull emblem is sprayed onto a black bulletproof vest. I used regular enamel spray paint, it works fine on fabrics, dries fast.
I made a more traditional emblem, though, not the movie one.
I made my stencil by printing the image I wanted onto paper, covering the back with very sticky doublesided tape (so it would stay put during spraying) I then cut out the inner area of the emblem, and pressed it in place on the vest. after that, I covered all of the rest of the vest with masking tape, and just sprayed it. Worked great. I would avoid decals- at some point they will most likely peel off.
The head I will use at least for now is a resin cast Bradstreet style Punisher head I got off of ebay, though I sort of think it may be a tad small. I will keep my eyes open for a better head on a Hot Toys figure, maybe at some point, one of the military figures will have a good looking head.
I only have 1 hip holster, I'm finding it's hard to locate a good left-hand hip dropdown.
What I'd love to find is two high-quality shoulder holsters. Most of what I have seen are just lame nondescript two piece fabric/pleather cut-outs.
I'm not going the trenchcoat route currently, though that could change. I am going the CIA bombsquad-style rounded high collar like Ray Winstone's War Zone Punisher. I like his more realistic paramilitary look over the comic book look.
I will post pictures of my w.i.p. later today, gotta go back to bed right now, I'm just back in from early morning Christmas shopping to avoid the crowds, and I am really sleepy.

If you try to not get it too hot, it should work, as in get hot enough to get it to adhere without melting it, so long as you don't leave the iron on too long. Best thing to do is test it on a scrap piece of spandex. Then you will be sure.

I can make the vinyl skull for you, have made quite a few for people. Masked with transfer tape and east to apply. It's high performance 3M vinyl that is not like sticker stuff you buy in stores, it is for outdoor signs and vehicles.

$2.50 shipped!!

How well is it gonna stick to that Triad toys spandex suit you think mate? I do frequently change the poses on my figures. ( about once or twice a week.) I love how it looks BTW, As long as you think it will hold up to frequent posing on the spandex suit, and not detach itself, I'm sold on it :)

The one on mine is stuck to a cloth covered bulletproof vest. It should hold up as log as you take care in the posing.

Sorry it took me an extra day, but here's where I'm at Punisher-wise.
Hot Toys body, resin-cast head.

All the large weapons are HT, but the pistols are some older die-cast, and I don't remember who made the pistol on his hip.

I still think the head may be a tad smallish, but it's what I'm using till I find better.

I plan to hit that vest with a black spray to dirty up the emblem and make it look more realistic. I tend to like the original symbol a bit better than the movie styled one.

WOW, I REALLY Like that Head. My hot toys body, and my Bodysuit and coat came in today :) I'll post pics tommorow :)

Like I say, I really wish it was a tad bigger. The sculpt could not be better. I'm tempted to hunt down a slightly smaller body, and let my Punisher be a shorter dude or something. I got the head off of ebay, but I don't remember the seller's name.

I wait for Chris Howes, when he clean some work, he start working in the Punisher:War Zone like Ray Stevenson, HOT TOYS style.:D
