I guess you missed the part about quantifiable metrics right? I'm not talking generalizations nor opinion, only attributes you can measure - but this isn't thread to discuss any of that.
In a single paragraph he proposed the theory and proved its falsehood, so it's strange anyone would agree with the statement after having read it from start to end. There is no single age-band demographic that favors GoT - the show has an immensely wide following covering all ages and all backgrounds. Its popularity however, has nothing to do with what I wrote at the top.
No, I saw your statement, but you had no proof to back it up, thus it's a opinion. Assuming you are talking about awards, audience, etc (really just taking a guess because you do not say exactly what the metrics are that you are using) you are discounting the generational part. Some of the awards were not around back in the day when other "greatest show ever" were around, same goes for counting audience size, distribution was different back in the day.
There is no factual way to claim any TV show is "greatest show ever", no one knows what the future holds, and comparing any of todays metrics to older shows is like comparing apples to oranges.
You'll have to point out where he disproves his point, I've read it three times now, not seeing it.
