Well, I got mine in. And while overall I'm happy with it, I, too, have the staining issue on the neck. WTF?! Didn't anyone think to wash the material before making the outfit so this wouldn't happen? Apparently, little to no QC on this figure.

Same staining for me. Even though there was plastic on the neck. :(

Got mine in the mail today. Love it. I do see the problem with the uniform coller, but it's a minor quibbile. The likeness is great to me. Looks much better in hand then in pics. Excuse the bareness of my display, needs more figures and a prop phaser and tricorder like my TOS display has.

Ok so I thought the scuffs I had were on the plastic and not on the head itself! he has a legit ring around the collar. This should not have happened with the plastic protection there!

I sent an email to support... so lets see what they say

Are we sure these major issues aren't just happening to the initial shipments of the figure? It doesn't excuse the problems but mine isn't coming until June or so from sideshow and I'm hoping I'm getting part of a new batch with less problems.

Like with the Deadpool sleeve debacle we won't know until the company addresses this directly. Even if Qmx were to replace the heads it's still the suits causing the issue.

Nope this kind of staining gets deep in the plastic.

It's totally shot. Plus I tried that anyways

All of our heads are ****ed I hope QMX sends us all new heads or something

Well, crap. And of course even if you have the painting skills and can paint over those stains, it might just get stained all over again the second you put the head back on the body. So not sure that really solves anything. Lol

The proportions do look pretty good here. Hope you don't mind me reorienting your pics, since we have so few to look at right now. :)

Also his it's not the head that's too big it's that the body he is on is a recast Bruce lee. And the shirt is tailored to that

Head is fine but a body swap won't work because the tunic is too small

I tried every body there is.

I've gone back and forth on this figure so many times, but never quite convinced myself to bite, as the idea of the figure is far more appealing to me than the reality, at least from what I've seen so far. I quickly jumped on all three original series figures, but this one just never conclusively sold me.

Lucky for me, a friend of mine has ordered one, which means I'll be able to see this in hand before making a final decision. So I guess I'll find out soon whether I'll be joining the TNG train or not. Gut feeling, I suspect possibly not, though as a huge Trek fan I'm dearly hoping to be convinced otherwise. But what will be, will be.

First of all, my wife hates the fact that I keep buying more toys for my collection. That being said, I recently asked her opinion on what figure I should get if I decide to get one for my birthday. The choices were QMX Captain Picard, Sideshow Darth Maul Naboo, Sideshow AT-AT Driver, and Hot Toys Doctor Strange. Her only real response was that a Captain Picard figure would be boring because it is just a bald man in a uniform. I had to laugh, but at least she didn't describe him as a bald old man in pajamas. My wife even likes Star Trek TNG, but that was her response to this figure. I wish my wife understood or even just liked the hobby. I should know better than to ask her opinion on what figure I should get.

Oh man....what you said is eerily similar to my situation. On occasion, I will ask my wife to give her opinion on a figure. But it does suck that she has absolutely zero interest in action figures or the like. I mean, before I was married, women were always at least impressed with my collection. My wife can't even stand to be in my office. She thinks she might breathe on something and I'll have a heart attack.

So I received mine Thursday and:
a). The figure's box is all dinged up because it wasn't double boxed (I know it's not suppose to be though - but still)
b). The rank pips are completely missing
c). There is a huge mark/line on the chin

I don't even care about the neck staining.....I just want it to come with a COMPLETE uniform and not have this giant mark going across it's chin. I emailed QMX that day for a return and refund. So far, I haven't heard anything back from them. I get the feeling that it's going to cost me $50 or so to return/get a refund on this messed up thing they sent me. You shouldn't have to pay for a companies mistake..especially when it's missing the freakin rank insignia! And I meticulously searched over the entire figure and packaging to see if it fell off..but to no luck. But yeah, if it didn't have these issues....the coloring, small body and ill fitting shirt wouldn't bothered me really and I'd be an amazing figure.

Can anyone give me some insight on how QMX might handle this return? I'm just not going to pay a restocking fee/not get the full $179.99 refunded on top of paying $20 to return it.

A possible solution might simply be a super thin ring of paper around the neck.

At the risk of sounding like an apologist for a QC issue, this seems like a very solvable problem. Im sure someone can come up with a better idea than mine.

To remove the stain has anyone tried good ol soap and water?

Or maybe a really high grit sandpaper? I would think this would do it. Basically buff it out.

It looks pretty good in those pics above but it appears that QM have tailored the clothes to fit a smaller base body which in turn makes the head look over scaled. BCS are making the same mistake in their line of figures...tiny slim body with tight fitting clothes..
