Nothing will remove that 'clothes dye' stain as it's more than likely absorbed into the plastic. This is totally unacceptable and QM should replace all the defect ones...
Those heads are made of vinyl. Panoxid 10% applied for a few weeks with the head in direct light works miracles for staining on vinyl. At least it works fine with old joes, Megos and anything I've tried so far.
A possible solution might simply be a super thin ring of paper around the neck.
To remove the stain has anyone tried good ol soap and water?

At the risk of sounding like an apologist for a QC issue, this seems like a very solvable problem. Im sure someone can come up with a better idea than mine.
I'm slightly worried but I'm keeping my order. If there is staining, it should be coverable with the collar, which is supposed to sit quite far up the neck anyway. I'm also wondering if a little padding in the shoulders might raise the base of the collar and offset the head whether its size is an optical illusion or not...

Yeah that would help create a more accurate look around the neck and shoulders... but it would also lift up the shirt and make it seem even shorter than it already is. So not sure that would help much.
Ugh. Every time I think I've convinced myself to keep this order, I find more reasons why I should probably cancel it...
Padding is the only thing that can be done and it helps a lot I'll post pics in a awhile but mine has padded shorts and padded chest that I've picked up from various crap along the years I also beefed up the shoulders with layers of athletic tape. He looks quite natural but the shoulders are still not wide enough. Their uniforms had shoulder pads in the show so they should be even wider. But that's not possible and not happening becuse the shirt is tailored to the Bruce lee body.
By the way, how can QMX recast a hot toys Bruce lee body for an officially licensed figure and not get their ass sued?
Photos or it didn't happen - even with photos, it probably didn't happen.
HT's Bruce Lee body/TTM-17 has a neck. There are other facsimile bodies out there from current producers that are not cast from HT's.
Bizarre choice of body there. As for the illegality of it, they and others have recast older Truetypes for other figures, and got away with it I guess. So Hot Toys may not pursue folks for that.
Yup here he is with padded shoulders chest pad and padded underwear
Overall helps his proportions and the Lee body gives him the right height but the shape of his shoulders are wrong and he would be best suited on just a regular narrow shoulder turetype to get his head size looking right.
Stained necks and the aforementioned maroon color where it should be more red makes this QMX's worst of all time.
Shocking and disappointing I hope this does not mark the death of the line but i still want a head that's not damn stained and I want qmx to send me it at no charge View attachment 341552
What?
Anyways there's photos a few pages back and they cut off the neck
Have we seen this with any official licensed figure though? Star ace asmus and threzerro have original bodies as did enterbay
They kind of retooled the torso a bit but the arms legs and pelvis... straight recast
No one's posted photos in this thread to prove or show that the body has parts directly cast from an original Hot Toys body, let alone that the entire body has been re-cast. So what I'm saying is that you're throwing that accusation around without showing any proof - it's a pretty serious accusation.
The QMx guy himself said that he was using a "public domain" body, or something to that effect, when discussing Mal originally. And from my understanding, it was an earlier Truetype. But I haven't had one in-hand to see for myself. ThreeA used Truetype knockoffs.Have we seen this with any official licensed figure though?
