:lol my bet is there will be plenty of rich nerds lining up for this

On this, no. On a Hero prop yes. I know the Hero ship of the D sold for $550,000 plus fee's. That was 10 years ago.

I know what I bought cost me. I would only go so much for anything that does not have a 1/1 on it.

If your wondering. I bid/Won Wolfs Bat'leth. That one that was on his wall. Not one that they used to fight each other. I also won a Tahg but lost a hero prop that they did use in the fights.

For this amount of money you can get screen used original props

Maybe 10 years ago. I have been given props and buying them for years. It was not till sometime ago they started to go really high.

I bought a Tron disc (Hero) and someone said they seen it being sold on TV. The winning bidder called it it. It was me. I don't watch Live TV so I did not know there was this kind of shows on. Turn out this is why they are going so high. Don't care. Everything has a price. Once there. I don't bid. Don't need it and For $300 less. I am making my own T1.

On a side note. On seller on TV seems to make 50% off of everything.

I think I'll stick with the Diamond Select $50-$60 models.

For this price, the thing should have fully functional phasers and warp drive.

Look into the Bandai kits as well, i have the Enterprise(refit), Enterprise E and Voyager..these are pre-painted snap fit model kits which can be illuminated..they look great, especially the Refit and Voyager.

Just did a DS-9. pick it up years ago. Cost was under $30 nice size for what it is. The light kit was cheap also.

From the company that brought you the four thousand dollar Sonic Screwdriver...

Yea, no thanks. Not even if I had the money to burn.

From the company that brought you the four thousand dollar Sonic Screwdriver...

But if you think about it, there was a very good reason that Sonic Screwdriver cost $4k.

It wasn't actually made by QMx, it was made by the company (person) who makes the TV props in the UK. So short of the actual screwdriver that is used on the show, that would be the nearest you'll ever get to owning the TV prop.

Add to that, only 25 were made, now part of that large cost would be the fact (if the company lives by collectible standards) that only 25 Doctor 11 TV prop Screwdrivers will ever be made. The prop company will never make any more ever again. Is that worth $4K to the 25 owners? I guess it was, since it sold out pretty darn fast.

As for the Enterprise, sure $10K is a lot of money, but I have no idea how complex the model and lightning setup is. I remember at the time so many people saying how expensive the Serenity BDR was and how they could get some super modeller in China to make one just as good, with same lighting but much cheaper.

Finally at one point someone did in fact look into it, they got a price of $5k, so double the cost of the BDR from QMx.

So I don't know, if someone can make a model just as good and sell it for $2k, then I guess QMx won't get any sales.

Has anyone seen a review or know someone who recieved any one of the QMX Artisan Enterprises's yet, 2009 or Re-fit? Over on the RPF a QMX rep said they have shipped some to customers but I am at a loss to find a review or even pictures anywhere....:huh

FYI... Once you have / buy a high end whatever. Talking about it is one thing. Pictures is another. You have to have insurance on each item. Not everything as a hole. I know in my paper work they ask you don't post pictures or let to many people know what you have.

Same goes for coins, stamps, etc. This items is $10,000.00 add shipping and tax. Do you really want someone to break in and walk away with it.

I have never seen one, I am sure that it's alot of work to make it. Also how many are made?

Why not a ship or collectable. Kids down the street killed a mated pair of Swans. Along with chickens. Guess what cost more this ship or the Swans?

I am going to say the Swans! :rotfl
How does taking a picture and writing a review give someone enough information to track down your home address to break in and steal it? Also, the ships I asked about are 5k not 10.

Your right the Swans.

5k or 10, I was talking about pictures not a review. One shows you seen it, the other shows you have it. I am just saying what is on my paper work.

Having been on the net and working with backbones. Since 88, Your ip address gives a lot of information. Top it off this board we are posting on is a open Site. I like pictures of items just like the next person. I just don't post to many.

If all they need is your IP address then pictures don't really matter if you have a list of high dollar items you have bought and or are buying as your signature lists.
