I did extensive research years ago, and have many reference pictures of her body. I have a well know 3D dude doing bodies for me.

I always intended Uhura to have her own body. All supposed to have their own bodies whenever necessary and justified.

So all this Uhura talk all of a sudden. Is she actually happening or is it just going to be a one off Nanjin is making for himself or a pipe dream?? If she’s made and somehow distributed then sign me up. I still don’t have Scotty or Sulu and not sure if I’ll be able to find them.

If you can pull off a new Uhura body which is semi-seamless, like the Pop Toys/Xing bodies, I think you would be surprised the number of people who would be willing to buy just a body for Kit bashing purposes. There is demand...

Sounds like there is some hope of a breakthrough! I will throw some cash at it to crowd fund it! If the replacement bodies for Spock and McCoy are still going to be available separately, it would make sense to do the same for Uhura.

Where are we at with the licence though?

Selling bodies will degrade the operation. Do you know how much DID bodies cost for wholesale? USD20 each. Is a ?buy only if your are stupid? pricing. Seriously, beside Phicen, no official licensed producers would sell bodies.

The bodies could be in high demand because they were kind of design for this purpose (different trek characters sizes)

ZCWO already showed me how to fail 1/6. Definitely, I wouldn't follow them.

I am still considering offering the bodies. But ALL bosses in 1/6 advised me Not To unless I am desperate for some return on working capital which I don't lack.

You are right, due to different lighting the chairs appear in different shades - as the uniform tunics of the crew as well! Could be also RAL 5024, no?

Yes, 5024 looks a possible as well... Even Googling both of those reveals a slight variety of shades.

even if you don't have the licence yet you are working on TOS Uhura.

Don't forget to give her not only several hairdos but also the corresponding TOS uniforms, a red and a gold one, the gold one she wore in the very beginning of TOS (e. g. The Corbomite Maneuvre).

I thought he was possibly making an Uhura figure...has he mentioned that he is making multiple Uhura figures?

I already had it but at that price, I ordered another one! Can use it to display with another figure or as a gift.

Strongly suggest those who don't have the Captains chair to buy one. The reason for the drastic price depreciation is due to someone didn't consider the equilibrium of supply and demand.

Demand should increase (if my plans work) and will compensate the supply surplus.

Something that almost happened in SDCC 2017....

1/6 scale Enterprise D Bridge built by a colleague whom I still admire as of today.

The bridge was lost in transit to SDCC by UPS (God sent - see below)


After I knew the bridge was being built for SDCC (i questioned my title given by the company because i didn't know beforehand), I planned a SDCC scene with 6 TNG +Q with this bridge (I cared less of the SNatural display).

I had Beverly but I didn't show her because there was no bridge and I wasn't too happy with her likeness (but I liked the rest except Riker). If I wanted a bang, I would want a nuclear bomb. I care less of firecracker attention.

I was building some excitement on FB about this ?surprise? but nothing happened and I never mentioned it until now (someone posted these pictures on social media)

I was very disappointed. Adding to this, the company exposed itself to HT's attention which laid down the groundwork for HT's head on collusion with Pennywise.

The Ent-D bridge, and all those Trek figures, HT would never suspect the company was shooting for DC.

This is a FREAKING BEAUTIFUL bridge! It lights up... hang a studio scale Ent-D from the ceiling right on top of this bridge...
