That's not how I remember it. LolSorry fellas... Khan won...
It wasn't PAF fault...So that's it then? No more of the Sulu figures are to be manufactured?
I paid Planet Action Figures £185 for Sulu back in October 2019. They've been messing me around for the last year giving rough dates on when they will be receiving further stock of the figure. Now that I've read this topic I see that I'm never going to receive a Sulu figure from Planet Action Figures. I've contacted them to demand a refund.
That's pretty shoddy customer service from Planet Action Figures. If I'd never read this topic I'd have thought that more Sulu figures were to be produced. And Planet Action Figures would probably have kept my money for months or years. Well, after I receive my refund for Sulu, I don't think I'll ever be ordering anything from them again.
EXO-6 under performed in 2021. We will do better and 4x faster releases in 2022.QMx's handling of the ST: TOS license is another example of how a 1:6 brand/manufacturer manages to secure a beloved license and over time FAIL to live up to its expectations and disappointing collectors in varying degrees.
Hopefully, nanjin doesn't have to directly and indirectly deal with all the bull**** he encountered and have a more definite and firmer control compared to QMx.
We can only wait and see how the EXO-6 endeavors play out and actually right the ship . . . or not.
Pretty obvious that the one on the right (V2) has different paint apps for the eyebrows and the iris and the speckling of colour on the face. To me at a distance (where I normally view my figures) this would not be a huge issue. I have the V1 and was good enough with it not to order the V2 when it came out. The V2 is an improvement--but not a huge improvement IMHO. (I guess I should not assume that the one on the right is the V2 lol) I have my Captain Kirk boxed up but will have to look to see what paint aps I have on mine.Without saying which one is V1 and V2 which looks better left or right?

I am building a museum and not set out to please customers basing purely on supply and demand. I think I very much will quit 1/6 Trek if I look at supply and demand. If i'm out of line, mods feel free to delete but I think it would be cool to have a general discussion thread for all the figures instead of just putting all the general discussion randomly in the kirk/spock, McCoy, and Picard threads.
I get the feeling that we need to be vocal about what exactly we want and don't want going forward. I feel like there are probably several characters/crew members that if we say nothing we either won't get or we'll get but not get what we want.
To be different, I'll start with one idea I haven't seen anyone mention specifically: For the less popular crews, can we at least get the captain? I don't know how many of you want a Paris or Tuvok but I know much more of you would probably like a Janeway. I would like a Capt. Archer from Enterprise but have no interest in Mayweather or Reed. Basically what I'm saying is that obviously the main crew of the original and probably next generation should probably get figures but maybe for the others, we can try to gouge who else we really want.
I'll have more intricate thoughts later should this thread be allowed to continue. We can all chime in about what versions of which characters we want from all the shows/movies.
Never had a Qmx figure but Picard looks pretty good in that shot. Really looking forward to the EXO-6 release.𝘝𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘵𝘸𝘪𝘳𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘮𝘰𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘺 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘱𝘰𝘵. 𝘛𝘩𝘰𝘴𝘦 𝘸𝘩𝘰 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘷𝘦𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘥𝘴 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘶𝘧𝘭𝘢𝘨𝘦𝘥.
The head sculpt is really solid, particularly from that angle. The uniform is a little bulky, and the body was too short but I replaced the body a few years back with a cheap appropriately sized one and it makes a huge difference.Never had a Qmx figure but Picard looks pretty good in that shot. Really looking forward to the EXO-6 release.
