There goes the theory that SSC could only do a stylized Elvira -

That's Tonner, by the way.

Tonner Dolls are more in the 1/5 scale. I'd guess this one is the same.

I don't think it looks much like her. Also the head seems a little too large and the hair could be better.

The thing to remember about Tonner... "dolls" are a completely different artform than 1:6 scale figures as we think of them. They're aimed at an entirely different market, too. It's not really supposed to look like Elvira/Cassandra Peterson. The doll art id more about taking a single platform (body and all-purpose head) and emulating characters completely through paint. The dolls and heads have names and they thenselves are often as popular and sought after as the characters they are made to reflect. I've seen many a custom doll fetch HUGE money as much for what doll was used as for what character was created. You can't really judge dolls on the same criteria you would a 1:6 figure.

Actually they are selling this as a Cassandra Peterson/Elvira portrait, it's not one of their usual sculpts, but unique to this figure. And it is pretty good I think.

That's an interesting figure. And it certainly looks like a very good likeness. I only want this if they make a "Zacherly" to escort her though.

I agree. It's more Angelica Houston"s Morticia Adams than it is Cassandra Peterson's Elvira. But that's not a surprise. Look what Tonner did to Superman and the Joker. Superman looks a little light in the boots as if he could be a fatally starved "pink crusader" version of the porn star Tony Tedeschi and the Joker looks like Phyllis Diller (though Tonner has denied basing the Joker sculpt on her repeatedly). Both of them, and Elvira fit perfectly into the Tonner line which is not remotely appealing to me but perfect for those collectors who enjoy these figures.
