I really was hoping for this thing to be awesome......and well.....its cool up to a certain point.........I would totally buy this....but the one thing that is keeping me from doing it is the fact that the webbing between the legs does not look translucent. I realize that this may not be possible to do with a mass produced item, or maybe they could have, I dunno.....but I really feel like the painted webbing (white with viens painted on) just takes away from the overall potentially awesomeness of this thing.

Just not sure it its really worth the 600.
Im sure that in person though, the sheer size of it will offset that and it will end up looking freakin amazing.........who knows, maybe i will change my mind if I ever see it in person. ADI continues to make top notch products so I am sure it be waaaaaay cool when its officially released.

i was thinking the same, it looks realy good , but for 600 i would expect more detailed work on the webs.

Looks pretty cool, but they should have done a regular facehugger first.

I doubt we'll be seeing PFs of Aliens and Preds.
We'll only be seeing maquettes.

i put my preorder in today. when i look at the gallery pics on the order page, it looks to me as if i can see through the webbing (unless the legs below the webbing are painted into the webbing). if i could place 2 minilights under the webbing and have it glow through with the room lights out, i think it would look pretty menacing! i was guessing 500 for the edition size, but i could also see it at 350.

However I just checked play.com and pre-ordered it for £229.99 which works out at $332! That is too good to pass up I think.
