All the important info from the InArt/MorFig Q&A that took place at the Tokyo Event:
  • Terminator not coming any time soon, they'd like to get more experience before tackling the license.
  • Jessica Atreides is coming and should be out next year.
  • Back to the Future and Top Gun licenses not being considered at the moment.
  • Joker 2 figures not being considered.
  • 1/6 and 1/12 figures from The Dark Knight will be on pre-order this year; The 1/12 price should be around $60 based on Japanese pricing.
  • Sam and Frodo from Fellowship of the Ring seem to be the next and likely final LoTR figures, as sadly other characters from the franchise are not being considered at the moment.
  • Other styles for Michael Jackson being considered
  • They have 15 products scheduled for 2025
  • They will improve Bale's likeness on the 1/12 Dark Knight figure; Joker and Bane will also be coming in 1/12; Vehicles not being considered.
  • More 1/12 Dark Knight: Metal figures will be made.
  • There will be 1/6 Matrix figures.
  • John Wick not being considered.
  • Adult Harry Potter version is coming in 2026.
  • Zendaya's Chani will likely be coming in 2026.
  • Gandalf the White might yet be made, Frodo and Sam are set to release in 2026.
  • InArt has plans to release a new Heath Ledger Joker using all the experience they've gained since entering the 1/6 market.
  • Ben Affleck's Batman and Gadot's Wonder Woman will likely go up for pre-order this year, but other members of the Justice League are not being considered at the moment.
  • Game of Thrones Daenerys is still planned, will likely release in 2026.
  • The Walking Dead figures are also scheduled to release in 2026.
  • 1/6 and 1/12 figures of Black Myth Wukong will go up for pre-order this year.
  • Michael Jackson "Smooth Criminal" version will be up for pre-order this year.
  • 1/6 and 1/12 figures of Bruce Lee may go up for pre-order this year.
  • Disney's Marvel and Star Wars are not being considered. (Everyone knew that)
  • For Harry Potter, Snape and Malfoy will likely go up for pre-order this year, Sirius Black next year.
  • It seems like only Neo will be made for the Matrix license as other characters are not currently being considered.
  • Other Keanu Reeves films not being considered.
I seriously can't believe that about Frodo and Sam being the last of the LOTR figures. Gimli is a no brainer for them with all his hair.

Besides people will take to the streets with pitchforks if they don't complete the basic Fellowship of the ring.

Shame that Frodo and Sam will end the fellowship :(
And no word on thorin?
Seems like no one remembered to ask about Thorin and a few other things like Chainsaw Man, so no new info on them. They did say Gandalf the White might yet be made but it appears that they don't have plans for other members of the Fellowship aside from Frodo and Sam.

I wonder if the preorder sales for Legolas and the Nazgul didn’t live up to their expectations. Maybe if the sales of Frodo and Sam exceed expectations they will change their mind.

Collectors are expressing their disappointment in the Chinese thread where this information was posted, some others think it was unrealistic to expect InArt to make all 9 members of the Fellowship.
Honestly the LoTR line could be a case of collectors not putting their money where their mouth is, yes there was a lot of excitement for the line but I can't imagine Legolas and Nazgul sold much given their price, and with collectors being more picky about what they chose and still mostly collecting Marvel or Star Wars, InArt needs to focus on what sells.

The wait times are annoying, but happy to see Daenerys hasn’t been forgotten!

If they don’t complete the Fellowship, that’s maddening. But regardless, I’m just selfishly relieved we’re getting Frodo and Sam. They’re all I need to complete my LOTR display! And Gollum/Sméagol if he’s ever made.

Also, curious to see what they’re planning with Dune figures set to be announced in 2026? Are they going to be Part 1 or Part 2 based? Dune: Messiah is coming out in 2026. This isn’t ideal. I want Chani to pair with Paul, but it’s gotta be Part 1….. Someone on FB mentioned Feyd-Rautha is also being considered for 2026 announcement, which makes me think they’ll be Part 2 based. UGH.

Looks like StudioCanal is making INART wait or sure, INART wants to wait till they can provide a definitive Terminator figure. I pray it’s the T1 Police Shootout look. Oh well, we’re a while from seeing this.

All in on TDK Batman, TDKR Catwoman, AND TDK Ledger Joker 2.0! Looks like the rumors were legit (thanks @DiostaR) and just what I needed to hold me off from delving into the custom world or consider keeping my Hot Toys Artisan that I don’t like in the head-sculpt.

Can’t wait for BvS Batfleck and Wonder Woman.

Happy to see Neo is probably happening, hope it’s Matrix 1 based!

If “Adult Harry” means Deathly Hallows Part 2 look, I’ll support that. I’ve decided I want the Golden Trio from that film in addition to movie 1 Harry.

Like @RandomHero mentioned, it’s hard to get truly excited with INART news, given their exasperated wait times to announce things, but I’m just glad certain figures have not been forgotten and some are in the works.

Jessica Atreides is coming
Reverend Mother look I hope. I don’t need a whole shelf of Stillsuits.

Sam and Frodo from Fellowship of the Ring seem to be the next and likely final LoTR figures
This is just terrible news.
At least Asmus are taking another stab at the hobbits.

All in all, it sounds like we’re mostly in for a year of waiting for anything new and exciting to be shown.

I’m glad I’ve got other 1/6 collectibles coming out that are keeping me busy in the meantime but what a yawn fest. I know people hate “collecting POs” but that’s what I want to do with this company. Just announce stuff already!
Yeah, I had thought they were doing these events to captialize on they hype from the early releases of Paul, Joker, and Ron and really hit us with these showcases to build hype for what's to come this year. At least at the event last week, we had teasers. You would figure they'd have at least more than one or two of the prototypes from the 2023 or 2024 Shanghai Wonder Festivals. I'm really surprised we haven't had a PO since October and neither of these events even hinted at when the next ones would be or who they'd be. Also, it's great that they have so many Morfig prototypes, but they've been showing them since SDCC in July, so what's the deal? Where are the POs?

I had no idea someone posted this information Facebook, I translated all the bullet points myself from a thread on a Chinese forum written by someone who attended the event and asked some of these questions. I didn't find any information about Feyd in there, only Jessica and Chani, but I could've missed it since a lot of people start message chains.

Wonder if it’s a translation error then on them not doing anything else for LOTR. Might have just said there’s nothing else in the works atm besides Legolas, Sam and Frodo. Not that they’re stopping completely.

The person who asked the question about LoTR said that they asked if they had plans to make all 9 members of the fellowship, InArt's answer was that Sam and Frodo are the only ones being planned at the moment and that other characters of the Fellowship are not being planned or considered. Some Chinese collectors have also reacted negatively to the news but some are not surprised given InArt's backlog.

It seems like the rumors I've heard were right ! Exciting !

That makes more sense. They probably don’t want to be making LOTR figures 24/7. Hoping we at least see Gimli in 2026/2027 then. Be a shame if they just stopped completely.

Man, I hope the fellowship gets completed. It'd be really sad if they didn't. I want them all.
