They meant 2.0 or re-make lol
And what was Aragorn’s shipped price on popcultcha?I paid like $445 shipped for legolas because of popcultcha.
I need to find out what his price in relation to other comparable releases. No idea. Just pointing out there are options to buy cheaper. Legolas isn't that much more expensive than previous figures that people are freaking out over.
Not an Inart figure, but with Sideshow, Artisan TDK Joker is coming out to $570 after shipping and taxes for me.You have me ignored, but I’ll keep asking the forum who can provide some insight. What’s the actual base price of Legolas? Or his direct price vs other INART figures direct prices? The $550 price tag was taken from OneSixthKit’s site, and we all know he adds his own premiums/mark ups.
Either way, was OSK’s $550 even egregious? Gandalf off OSK was $515 and Legolas has rooted hair, braids, perhaps the labor rates are higher due to the intricate nature of working on this specific character design (?)
Aragorn at $480 was the sweet spot, imo. A comfortable price for a rooted figure including Kit’s markup and overseas shipping accounted for. So Legolas was $70 more and $35 more than Gandalf. Yes, I know the Legolas set should’ve included the Mirkwood weaponry. Was that the deal breaker?
This is the general InArt thread. Can this be merged into the current general InArt thread? No reason for another one.
This is the general InArt thread.
Somehow that doesn't add up to me. Kit has said in the past that his markup is nominal. Take a Hot Toys figure, the list/shipped price at Kit is usually about $18-22 more than Sideshow...ironically $18-22 is the minimum for Sideshow's shipping prices these days. I think Kit said he only keeps like $5 per figure so he makes some profit. Understandable, guy has to eat and pay his bills and $5 is nothing. So if Kit was $550 and you factor in like $75 for him to ship, plus his $5, that comes to a list price of $470, which is what Pop is charging shipped.I paid like $445 shipped for legolas because of popcultcha. Even now he's around $475 shipped for US buyers from pop.
My bad. I didn't even know there were two general InArt threads.Yes. Because it’s now been merged.
I love how because I’m ignored (by several people I imagine), I’m always on the sidelines when it comes to certain discussions lol. Whatever, looks like no one is going to respond.Somehow that doesn't add up to me. Kit has said in the past that his markup is nominal. Is that just due to the exchange rate? I don't know how they can pull that off.
My bad. I didn't even know there were two general InArt threads.
Sorry for the double quote. I just went to Popcultcha's website and it says $495 and free shipping and you jerk, now I'm actually thinking about this lolEven now he's around $475 shipped for US buyers from pop.
The conversion is inaccurate there for some reason. Once you login with account it shows accurate conversion, which should be around $450 USD before shipping which is around $25 for me.Sorry for the double quote. Weird. I logged in and put it in my cart. $495, free shipping and $45 in tax so $540 total - would have just ordered from Kit if I was going to go in above $500.The conversion is inaccurate there for some reason. That's odd. I just checked on my account and it would be $450 + shipping at $25-$31. Is the tax included in the $495 since you have to pay tax for the state you are in?Weird. It can't be that - New Jersey is a 6.625% sales tax which would be $32ish and PC is saying $45, which is 9.5%. So it can't be an NJ thing. Also weird that they're dinging you for shipping but not me, I get tax instead? I don't get it.That's odd. I just checked on my account and it would be $450 + shipping at $25-$31. Think it might adjust if you change your shipping address to US.
