InArt just did a livestream test on their YouTube page. In the comment section they said they will be doing a livestream tonight (China timezone). Then said it will be more QS related, but will have an InArt one soon as well.

They did advise that stuff was lost in translation with their Q&A, so they will clear that up soon.View attachment 752310
Thanks for posting this screen cap, I had to step away and when I got back everything was gone.

Good. They do need to clear this up, if they don't want to risk losing peoples pre-orders on Legolas, for example.

If you're going to be upset when a figure is updated then wait until the one you're buying is the perfect version. And if the Inart was that for you then the 2.0 shouldn't change that.
Do you mean don't ever buy a figure because there will always be a better release later on? There is no stamp of approval on any item that states it's the "perfect version".

I don't know if you are trying to be logical but it 100% sucks to buy what you think is the perfect version and have it get upstaged a year later, then get a notice that there's going to be an updated official perfect version from the original company you supported. All those good feelings you had when you first unbox the figure get replaced with regret. It doesn't matter how good it felt for 6-12 months. Multiply that exponentially for InArt's prices.

My issue is not resale value but the purchase model for InArt and Hot Toys. We have to pre-order and put faith in the company to make something that resembles the preview and description we are given. It's a FOMO knife that is either in your back or your gut. We don't have a ton of options other than to spend money and then hope that it's not wasted because a better "perfect version" comes out. (Ahem...HT Artisan Joker.)

If InArt is going to do a 2.0, they better at least give the 1.0-ers an opportunity to purchase the 2.0 head sculpts. We put our faith in them, they better repay the favor.

Good, this is what they should be doing instead of waiting for random people post their interpretation of what they heard at live event Q&As. The context of the answer about Jessica Atreides made it pretty obvious that this was more than just things being "lost in translation" and it's why I have not posted anything else that the Chinese person updated in their Q&A thread.

Just want to add my 2 cents on pricing since we talking about it and I have a pretty good idea after seeing all the HT, Inart and 3rd party artisan prices. Direct retail in Asia, HT ranges between $350 (Black Widow, SS Harley Quinn) to $430 (Joker, Jack Sparrow), average is below $400. There’s not a lot of third party artisans but we’ll see more of them, e.g. Asmus’s Snake Plissken $350.

Now onto Inart, they’re definitely priced quite higher between $400 - $500. The only one at $350 (per fig) was the Joker 2019 but it’s a 4 pack. Inart averages $450 - $475. Personally I don’t mind these prices because I think Inart makes better figures, but with this info, I do think their stuff is overpriced more so than not, then for international buyers there’s a markup, that’s why you guys think $500+ for Artisan is the norm. Legolas is barebones and definitely not worth it imo, even if I was into LOTR.

Like another guy said, price is a determining factor for me, if I know a solid artisan can be produced and sold for $350 (even less for shittier third parties), I’m quite reluctant to accept $500 as the norm and will only pay that for something I’d consider a must have/grail.

(Although that Gandalf when I first saw that I thought look incredible and would buy that as a non LOTR fan.)

More or less. One of the reasons I never bought the Inart Ledger Joker is that I never saw Ledger in the sculpt at all. I consider it their only dud. If better versions upset you, wait for a version that can't be topped. If a figure has a perfect sculpt and perfect tailoring then what else can a 2.0 really add? If a 2.0 makes yours look inferior, then it was never perfect in the first place.

Inart already did repay the favor, they sent you your figure.
