Present Toys - 1/6 PT-52 Edward Scissorhands

Really nice pics, really do this figure justice!

Present toys did a really good job at rooting on this one crazy for 3rd party! I'm wondering how easy those hands will be to take off for clothing.

All I hope is when Art figures release theirs we don't have to assemble the pieces again!

I got mine this afternoon. Definitely feels high quality. The hands seem like copies of the HT figure.

I'm not convinced that the "leather" on this is genuine, real leather. Seems to be not any any different than what AF used. Definitely doesn't have that real leather smell you'd expect. There are some minor differences between the costumes between this and the AF, but I think it's pretty negligible. I'm just glad PT went through the trouble of redoing the suit from the ground up instead of just copying the HT suit that the prototype was showing.

That said, I agree with @Rzeznikk that the AF hands are better.

I think the headsculpt is overall pretty nice and probably just needs a small bit of paint touch up to bring out the likeness more.

Very satisfied with this one though. 2 "artisan" Johnny Depp figures in one week makes me pretty happy.

I'd say PT copied AF hands. They have the same ball joint in the fingers. But it's less intricate in design. Missing the wire etc. And the AF paint apps look better. HT hands were hinges and are more bulky in design. On my next day off I'll try and get some side by sides of each.

I felt the need to show a comparison between the ART FIGURES and PRESENT TOYS latest Edward Scissorhands "Scissor Hands". And then also just for fun I added Hot Toys version to see how far the technology has come.

As you can see from the images the Art Figures hands are much more detailed and have a lot more intricately designed pieces. Present Toys seem to have copied them to the best of their ability but are lacking.

I also need to note that in these photos I did have the Present Toys pinky piece on the Art Figures glove on Edward's right hand (the red colored pinky) as I preferred the color to the plain Grey. The pieces swap with the ball joints perfectly which makes me believe PT did indeed copy the Art Figures.

yes they are!
I skipped only because they did such an amazing work on the sculpted hair version, it is one of the best sculpted hair in 1/6, IMHO.

Yeah they are went up for PO a while back. I honestly hope they assemble the leg belts at least this time!

Kinda wish they'd charged more and added metal hands but looking forward to comparing both.

Artisan version their sculpted was incredible!

Thanks for the comparison shots, I never appreciated the details until seeing this close ups.

Breda’s YT PT review mentioned the AF hands are more delicate in comparison to PT.

They are more delicate, but definitely better quality overall.
