Oh god, the WORST movie....
My wife’s cousin is one of the producers of this film so when it came out we went to see it with a few friends. I never walk out on movies but I was tempted, I barely got through it. Two of our friends did leave.

I went in thinking I would like it, but found it almost unwatchable. But yeah some cool wardrobe/costuming.

So the most fun thing for me here is that they plan to make Game of Thrones figure(s), as in plural beyond Daenerys and Jon.

The INART COO (Ivan) also discussed doing a seamless body when referring to Daenerys pronouncing it “Denise”. He also alluded to how Game of Thrones is full of various “costumes” and many seasons. He likened it to Star Wars in terms of how expansive it is and how there’s many different iconic looks (which is something I’ve always felt too).

That being said, seamless body for Daenerys, means potential Astapor (S3 blue dress) Daenerys???

Regardless, Game of Thrones figures aren’t in the works for this year but probably 2026 or 2027.

They also mentioned that because Winterfell Daenerys received lots of critical feedback (I was one of them who spammed them about how lackluster the prototype looked on their pages) and wasn’t good to go as is, it caused them to delay it and to refocus their plans/shift priorities.

I was bummed to hear they aren't really pursuing any game licenses for 1/6 scale beyond Wukong due to the high risk and expense of the licenses. Seems like they're planning to do all their video game lines in 1/12 Morfig, but if something blows up, they'll consider moving up to 1/6.

Darn, I guess was one of the few that really wanted the white Winterfell coat Danerys.

If InArt is refocusing Daenerys, hopefully the white coat is not completely cancelled in favor of her other outfits, which I also want. Will collect them all.

They never explicitly said they cancelled Winterfell Dany. But they mentioned a seamless body for “Denise” and that’s how he pronounced ‘Daenerys’. And I don’t see why Winterfell Dany would need a seamless body.

And Ivan did allude to the potential of various costumes they can do for GoT characters. Which is promising imo

So I just asked about which outfit they’d do for Daenerys and they said they’re exploring all types of outfits, including outfits that don’t cover the arms, since they’re working on a seamless body so…. Guess they’re back to evaluating which look to go with for the character. They also mentioned that what we see as physical initial prototypes doesn’t always mean it’s going to go up for PO.

Astapor Daenerys back on the menu, boys! Here’s to hoping

Some stuff I caught from their current livestream. I tuned in late so probably missed a bunch of questions answered.

- Magnet joints are gone. They're not stable and proving to be too much of a hassle.
- Ledger Joker 2.0 is a long ways out. It's at the bottom of their list. They only reupped the license to not lose it. It's still extremely early.
- Walking Dead this year if the actors approve the likeness. Biggest hold up with these licenses is getting approval.
- Batfleck Batman. Tactical Batman (Might have misheard), Wonder Woman and Catwoman (The Dark Knight) will go up for PO this year.
- Catwoman has gotten an improved sculpt. The figure was improved on since the last prototype. Will maybe see pictures soon? He seemed to almost tease it but stopped himself from saying when we'll see photos.
- Reeve Superman is still in the works. They're aiming for the end of this year or into the next.
- Bale Batman - They tested rooted hair but they're not certain yet due to his hair being short. PO will go up next year.
- Knightmare Batman is in the work. They're working with multiple people regarding the outfit.
- Snape is likely to be this year. Dumbledore will be next year.
- Chainsaw Man 2-3 figures will go up for PO this year. Finally got approval from the licensor. They actually lost the license the first time around since they buy licenses for a certain period of time. Seems getting approval was hard but they finally got it.
- Daenerys is next year or the year after. When they start GOT, there will be multiple characters. Seems like they want to go all in it. They mentioned that this will be their Star Wars (?). Guessing they mean the way Hot Toys treats the Star Wars license.
- LOTR full fellowship is confirmed. They're not abandoning it. Gimli mentioned but not this year.
- Not decided yet if Frodo and Sam will be a two pack. They will go up for PO this year.
- If they do Matrix, they will complete the series. Meaning they will do Neo, Trinity and Morpheus. Will not just do one figure like Hot Toys did. They already have the design (sculpt?) from the QS statue so they said if they do Neo, it will be fast.
- Last year was hard with all of the production issues. There focus was heavily on that and getting a handle on it. They're putting more resources into it.
- The QC issues are their top priority. They're well aware of it and how it effects recurring customers. They're putting more resources and getting a better handle on it. The COO looks into the QC daily.
- Average after sale QC inquiry percentage has been going down. Superman is at about 3.4-3.5% of total sale.
- Doing full diecast armor is expensive. While Nazgul is expensive, they're barely making any money off of it. They're unlikely to do any future diecast armor because of this.

Good to hear we may see Catwoman soon.

I’ve been holding off on JND for now but tempted due to the 2 civilian outfits, which I doubt InArt will tackle for Anne Hathaway.

In addition to my comments on Daenerys…

Main 4 priorities to go up for PO this year are the following: BvS Batman, BvS Wonder Woman, TDK Batman and TDKR Catwoman (been revised, portrait, etc).

Main lines focus: Lord of the Rings/Fellowship, Harry Potter (I assume Movie 1 all out), The Hobbit and “Superheroes” as in DC related properties.

They kept calling the BvS Batman main batsuit as “light armor” or “tactical”. They’ll be offering 3 looks for BvS Batfleck: Main batsuit, Knightmare batsuit and Bruce Wayne Funeral suit.

Will complete the Fellowship. Frodo and Sam most likely 2026. Someone asked if it’s going to be a 2-pack. INART: “Idk.” Expect a few different SKUS. Expect to complete the Fellowship in 2-3 years. No plans to do any characters beyond the Fellowship. If they do GtW, it’d be a ground up figure and not reusing GtG parts or sculpt.

Their overall priorities are to offer new characters—-> different looks/costumes —-> 2.0s is at the very bottom. Only considering doing it in TDK Joker’s case since they feel they have much to improve upon on the 1.0 release and because the license is expiring so WB told them if they want to do a new one, that they’d need to start considering it/developing a 2.0. Regardless, wouldn’t be a thing for at least 2-3 years.

They want to do Neo. Couldn’t say which film it’s based on. I’m hoping it’s Matrix 1. No concrete plans to do any other characters beyond Neo as of right now.

No plans at making their own TDKR Bane. “Hot Toys did it great.”

TWD is “a complete line” as in the three they’ve shown: S8 Rick, Negan, and Daryl.

They would like to make the “girlfriend” aka Chani but of course never specified which film it’s based on. And the “cousin” aka Feyd. I wouldn’t take these as certain to come. Ivan, the COO, also would like to do Lady Jessica but is uncertain about demand for the character.

20-30 SKUS in the pipeline.
