I think regardless of who the last mile carriers are in the US, I think this will eventually affect all incoming packages from China and Hong Kong.
As soon as they land in the US, they’re going to be hit with a customs charge, which we’ve been able to skirt past using the de minimis exemption since the Obama administration.
On top of this, tariffs are going to be levied on the China side, which will be passed onto consumers by raising the prices, either of the products themselves or the shipping costs.
If they really are cracking down based on where the item is manufactured, prices will definitely start going up soon for Hot Toys and InArt.
