Danny, if you can show me a thread where I complained about an eBay scalper, and not just lamented the high price of a collectible, I will publicly apologize to this board, even though I did say " I believe I can honestly say...".

And as far as selling from my collection, I have no way to actually prove that other than my word. And I don't take kindly to be called a lair, so I will take your post in the humor you meant it, but would ask you to NOT continue down this line...

I agree WitchKing.....take all that is said with a grain of salt, because in the end we are all Freaks!

Why ol why do you take me serious? I don't even take myself serious.

:lol :rotfl

I didn't take you seriously... hence the "...I will take your post in the humor you meant it..." I just wanted to be sure you didn't take it any further. :rotfl

I thought everyone already knew it was human nature to give friends more tollerance. The whole point is you know them and why they do or do not do the things they do. You know that they are not carrear scalpers and though they may do it you know they are good people so you let it slide by even if you dissagree with it. If your friends with a full time scalper then while you may still dissagree with it you know that taken as a whole they are a good person otherwise you wouldn't be friends with them.

With others you dont know, you assume that they are just here to take advantage of people. Right or wrong thats what alot of people do, think the worst until proven otherwise. Much of the feelings come from dissagreeing with the practice but for others it can involve some jelously, wheather it's the product or the money that they are missing out on.

Again to answer the original question: People don't bring up Ebay listings of members out of respect, they know that they are legit and fair, they know the person is not "swooping up all the goodies just to hoard them", and there is no need to cause an unnecessary tension in the forum. People have and always will do things that others don't agree with. The people here that know each other know that they are decent people not here just to take advantage of others.

OPINION WARNING:

If you did something that I may not agree with then I would mind my own business, what the hell does it matter what I think.

You are answerable for yourself, I have no right to project my values upon anyone.

Just because you disagree with something doesn't make it wrong, or you any better or worse then anyone else.

People should spend alot more time worrying about their own affairs then that of others.

Actually Jessea, there are a few on this board that do "swoop up all the goodies just to hoard them", but that is their business and I never complained about it.

I am tired of this discussion. (I am not the only one)

Despite all Danny's attempts, I don't think the thread has disintegrated to the point of locking it quite yet.

I only wish true collectors would get a fair chance of buying a piece for a reasanable price.
Some pieces will become more rare/desirable than others , and it is only normal the prices go up.
But if Sideshow give a pre-order for a already low edition size figure, and the "rippers" (people who not even appreciate the item) all place orders, then the object will only become more rare.
It is true that the collectors decide what they are willing to pay, but if you really want something ,yes you will pay - and that the "rippers" all know.
Not everyone dares to place pre-orders at a time he/she knows he has not the money at that moment.
The only rare figure I could miss from my small collection is the forbidden zone taylor.
(short story:have no credit card-a friend does-asked him to order- ordered the wrong figure..taylor)
I tried to sell, but decided to wait and keep it as some sort of trade for a figure I really want.
Collecting should be fun.(not Wall street)
And now you you may shoot me
(And no I do not have a grey Hulk, nor is it on my wish-list...lucky me)
