That's insane.
The message I just received also is that only Gollum and Smeagol revealed this week as far as LOTR.
The rest at Spooktacular.
So they are working with Sideshow on some of the announcements then if it is going to be through Sideshow. Can’t wait to see what they will be. It’s definitely making me more hesitant on making any other purchases until I know what they are doing. What is the Nazgul order window with Kit?

I know this probably isn't the place to ask this question, but I'm having all sorts of trouble with this site. Unresponsive pages and taking yonks to do anything. Tried usual clearing stuff etc. Only last couple of days this started. Anybody else having issues or is it just my crap laptop? I wondered also if all the adverts that I'm getting are not helping. Afraid I'm not very technical.

Click your username at the top of the page to go to your account preferences. On the left hand side, there is a menu, click Preferences. There's two checkboxes for Advertising options, check both of those to disable ads. Click Save at the bottom of the screen. See if turning off ads fixes the issue.

Thanks very much for that help. Works like a dream now. Only saw one advertising option checkbox, but it worked! Phew! :blissy:wave

Have they given any indication how soon a new Frodo and Sam are coming?
No indication.
Only that George mentioned after the Gollum/Smeagol reveal,Frodo and Sam would be next revealed.
Not sure what the turnaround time would be.
I'd love to see their ROTK disguise versions, but that's just my wishful thinking.

InArt issues aside, they've usurped Asmus as the go-to for Lord of the Rings figures. Whatever Asmus puts out, it better be a home run. I'm rooting for them, personally. Options for collectors will always be a good thing. I just hope they don't cut any corners and find a way to build some genuine excitement in the company again.

Not for me. ASMUS pulls off amazing work at an affordable price. Anyone can upgrade a fig or get a custom done any time.

Yeah InArt has some nice sculpts but their cloth choice wasn't any different than anything I'd seen before. Most of all reading about their customer service. Yes it's nice to have choices but for me it's InArt that will have to do something impressive before I want to deal with them again. Their Joker looked good but even then there were inconsistencies. Speaking of cutting corners I'd rather not spend hours redoing hair on my supposed premium figure. I bet my HT artisan Scarlet Witch is out of the box flawless too.

Just sayin'. I even picked up some long pegs (DAM toys) just in case InArt's wrist pegs snap. Hopefully I can make them work if needed.

I've been fortunate with most all the Asmus figures I've picked up,the only 1 that did have any issue was the Aragorn Helms Deep version that I purchased from SugoToys.
One of the arms was popped at the shoulder.
I thought it broken and couldn't pop it in myself and didn't want to cause further damage.
Thankfully they took it back, fixed it,and sent it back to me.
Other than that,no issues really.
When they're hot, they are on fire.
When they're not, they try to rectify their shortcomings.
I wish them goodluck in the relaunch.
I was late to this party, but I do wish to add to what I have, which isn't much compared to others in the group!

Let’s not forget Asmus also had quality issues with Galadriel being undersized, her face not matching her neck skintone, etc.

Encouraging to see Saruman is on the list!
Kinda keen to see other figures revealed soon.
I really was looking forward to their Ace Ventura a couple of years back, but hoo boy…that headsculpt was a disaster. Maybe they’ll get it right with this one.
Curious to see their Ash, since I quite liked their previous figure after some griming up.
Snake interests me, mainly because I’d love if they did a Jack Burton. I passed on the SSC one but it would be awesome if they got around to some more Russelll/Carpenter characters🙂

I have the jack Burton Sideshow and that figure sucks, but in demand.

It was overpriced sideshow figure as usual but it's the only Burton figure out there.

That's also why I want snake to be a home run.

I hope a crown Saruman is in the works!
It was mentioned on one of their Facebook posts that he is the 5th in the Crown line.
I assume 3rd or 4th is Thranduil, but they were having issues with licensing so possibly Saruman sooner.
Just not sure who the other Crown would be in 3rd or 4th (Hopefully Haldir or Gil Galad).

With Asmus I’m at the same point where I am with Threezero. The quality of their figures just doesn’t cut it imo.

I’d rather see them raise their prices if it means higher quality figures.

Asmus had good prototypes but the production pieces just never lived up to them. Although it was good that they changed this with Gandalf the White and used production sample pics as the product listing photos.

But yeah, I’d rather pay a bit more for better quality.

I don't forget Asmus' bumps in the road and lol the community doesn't let them forget either. 😁

But I'll always have mad respect for them for their clever use of inexpensive materials and going IMO above and beyond, like Gimli's 5 diecast axes for that price. Developing sturdy dwarf bodies. Some nice diorama stands. Generous use of cloth like Gandalf the Grey's cloak. Attention to tiny details like the little maps.

But yeah, I’d rather pay a bit more for better quality.

But would everyone? I'm on the fence about that. Am sure ASMUS factored in what people are generally willing to pay. I'm already at the point of the "average" 300-340$ HT being like, wait a minute. Sure, I pay for a really wanted figure, but pass on others. I start thinking about a $500+ plus fig and then I think some more. Hard. Two figs and you're up to $1000. 😮
