Probably doesnt because of all the additional paint work it would entail. I can't speak for him but he may feel he's currently at his limit when it come to time available against quality of work put out. Add another 15 or 20 pairs of heads (with regards to this release) and the quality may slip a little. It's a lot of work

Only if he kept releasing the same number of figures. But if he released 4 or 5 a year instead 6 or 7. Its really the same amount of work.

He does only tend to do 4 a year.

I don't think RM has ever done as many of 6 figs in a single year. He usually does 4 at a push 5

I hear that Pop, and I think it also affects Rainman's ability to judge sales accurately. I'm not sure "hostage" is the right analogy, though. What is being held hostage? The figure you are threatening. . .to buy? Or the other collectors? Who you are threatening. . .to release a set to?

Maybe rainman should just go to an open limit style. Once the window is closed, it's closed. Wether that means 35 or 50 fullsets. Its just more money for him.

It's definitely about the amount of work and deadlines. I would love for us to ask for him to convert the DFSs sets into DXs for whoever wants to spend the extra $100 but I'm sure he's limiting them because he doesn't want to go cross-eyed doing 35 of them.

Wish he would consider it though. I'm sure 8/10 if not all DFS owners will make that switch

Was that the way it went? I can't remember because I'm always glued to the thread around sales day so I'm forgetting if we had a time or I was just glued to it all and following the posts.

I remember suggesting to Joned one time to set his alarm for 4:00am UK. That's what's making me thing we were following a set time but I guess I'm remembering incorrectly.

I wasn't originally complaining about people holding a double full set hostage until a DX finally opened up. I was complaining about people ordering BOTH a DX full set AND a double full set. Now that's just disheartening lol.

Agreed. Because we all know people could flip these boys super hard its not enough funny. Its like if you don't even really like the figure you SHOULD buy it, molest the figure, weaken all the joints, enjoy it for awhile, then sell it at 20% higher and be called a saint, or going on ebay and selling it for 100% higher and calling it a day.

No, I'm not bitter at all haha...this is how it works.

So any opinions on the sunglasses?

Been looking at the glasses and I think the CRM version capture more of the shape/frame of the Randolphs. Rainmans seem a little to round. They kind of remind me of those Depp Willy Wonka glasses. Maybe he can look into adjusting that a bit. That gunsling though ....real fabric!! Fugettabout it!

glasses need to all fit in within the facial structure...i like the shape they have but need to fit in the face...you can see in the pictures of what i am talking about.

These are to demonstrate the proper frame shape of the randolphs. The sizing is gonna be a pain though. The Rainman version are even bigger than these and kind of look like those Willy Wonka Depp Glasses.

These are to demonstrate the proper frame shape of the randolphs. The sizing is gonna be a pain though. The Rainman version are even bigger than these and kind of look like those Willy Wonka Depp Glasses.

The shades do look a touch large I must say.

Rainman has already confirmed he'll be sizing them down a touch

i'm gonna prolly cancel the second set i got which was the driver FS....that way...i can pick up the clothes set and an unpainted headsculpt....

i just picked up the bruce lee body i need to transplant the arms...so this bickle display will be epic...i will display 3 Bickles on one Detolf shelf......
