It's ok talking about upping the DX release, but when the time comes, will you put your money where your mouth is? I have seen it all too many times where people shout from the roof tops about what they want. Then when it comes to the crunch, they run a mile.

Are there really 40 people here willing to drop $1000 on this?

I personally think 25 seems like a good number.

This is very very true it's unlikely 40 people would actually follow through with the $1000's. I know I would and there are many others that would also but 40 is too much. 25 has a nice ring to it with 5 held back for general sale so at least everyone gets some sort of shot at it.

Rainman did mention this particular DX will be more expensive than his normal DX releases on Facebook...this could be more than $1000...but all speculation at this point...but when time comes...price tag might give some second thoughts

I certainly won't be going for a dx no matter how good it may be, and this will probably be the best dx offering yet! head and clothing set will have to do me.

This will not be a $1000 DX. It will be more... Don't be surprise if its $1200-$1500.

This is very very true it's unlikely 40 people would actually follow through with the $1000's.

I don't know about that. Typical releases have 35 full or full+DX, and they all sell out at $800+ I don't think an extra $200 is going to be a huge issue (now if it is $1500 or whatever as some seem to be suggesting. . .then I would agree with you).

But one thing I do think Rainman should do is hold off on making a decision until the final prototype is shown off and people can judge based on that. Right now, all our expectations on sales are due to hype. We still have no idea how it will all turn out. Lest we forget all the complaints about Jules and Vincent, and the fact that Jules took a long while to finally sell out even at slightly smaller numbers than the usual release.

Very true guess we shouldn't take anything for granted. It's hard to not get caught up in the hype though lol

I have doubts he will up the numbers but maybe only offer them all as "DX". So that would make 35 and not bother with a standard release.

I really like that idea and I wish that it would go down like that.....

If he's doing two completely separate outfits, then I wonder if he won't make them both available as head/outfit releases, with corresponding heads. . .at which point, it wouldn't be a true DX, but it's not like Rainman to invest in outfits that he doesn't sell in parted out options.

The two outfits thing is giving me flashbacks to Vince

Yep as far as I know DX's are $1000 always have been if Rainman decides to charge more then fair enough but I'll wait for the confirmation from him

1500 will definitely keep me from getting this if he releases within the next month...capitalizing on the hype by raising it by 500...not a good look...
