Re: Rainman Artwork 2013 NYC Cabbie "God's Lonely Man"

While I have boxed figs, what makes the hobby for me is bashing my own figures. When RM or any other customizer has a new release, ill buy the sculpt or clothes set and i do the rest. I rarely spend more than $150 on my custom figs. I could afford RM figs, but this would take the fun out of the hobby for me.
For those that will pay the big bucks for a DX, that fine. Its to be expected that a figure produced in quantities of less than 100 worldwide will of course cost quite a bit. At the same time though, its still not hard to see why many are still shocked at the sticker price, no matter how well the figs look

Wake, I will say that I admire your dioramas! Problem is more space than cost. All mine fit in their little detolf shelves. :)

I used to commission dioramas in the detolf size. Just limiting. lol...

Hey I know thats a concern for many. Heck, even for me. I think once i have 10-15 i may try and get a gallery showing of them. Each on its own pedestal. With acrylic case.

Re: Rainman Artwork 2013 NYC Cabbie "God's Lonely Man"

It's about space for me too. I'm not out on the idea of a Bateman's apartment commish though. Just trying to find the proper room

A pedestal set up would take the cake!

Ok, speaking with RM, the sculpt will go unaltered now.

I told him about some of the concerns but he wants to go with his feeling.

I say good for him!

In the end, the same thing will happen that happend with Jules. There will critique after critique, but eventually it will sell out.

He is working on the guns and holsters right now :rock

I think he will have it completed once they are done :panic:

Re: Rainman Artwork 2013 NYC Cabbie "God's Lonely Man"

Teddy, can you ask him if it'd be possible to have another partial clothing set for those of us interested in displaying both Bickles?

I didn't chat with him for very long. He asked me how it was going in here, so I was honest. I said it was 50/50. I told him what the concerns were of some, and he said he would not fix anymore. He believes it to be as good, and as close as he can get it. We have to respect that.

I didn't firm up the above AJK, but I thought what you have listed was agreed now?

So no changes? I'm cool with that. Now... Who's buying still w/ no changes? Especially those that have so many gripes with likeness and so forth and that have nitpicked and dissected? This is the time to say: "No, not for the money or quality or (insert anything else)...."

You know and I know what that outcome is :slap
