I think I'm gonna shave down his upper arms a little.
I never did it before but I usually hear people talking about sanding it down. Anyone experienced folks out there can tell me what grit would you use for this?
I've seen it done with a knife by taking little slivers at a time. Is sanding a better approach?

Well on the site, it never even told me it shipped. I was shocked when I got that striped box as I was about to leave the house. First time getting anything Rainman directly from the man himself. Didn't recognize the return address so I assumed it may have actually been something else entirely! lol

The figure itself is amazing! Possibly his best likeness so far, maybe on par with his DDL's.
The release as a whole is a little disappointing and underwhelming, I got to be honest.
In my opinion he should have scrapped the dork clothing and book and included the pony tail head, overcoat and cowboy tie. I think that wold have made this a fantastic release and well worth the $800 spend.

Yeh I'm a 'defender' of rainman but that's not $800 value there in my humble opinion.
I love the set but I agree to fully warrant RM prices it needed another accessory. I think the easiest way to balance this would've been to include the brief case with Vince. It makes sense because he's so light on extras and Jules us so heavy.
The JRS set deserves to be a separate set because the entire outfit is different (except the shoes) including the jacket, shrt and pants.

What body is this?
I preordered a second unpainted head just in case I'm not happy with the Aeon paintjob. I also ordered a dork outfit. I think this is what I'll do with them. Maybe have it painted with a "wet" effect. Of course now I'll have to get a second Jules headsculpt as well.

Wouldn't suprise me if that happens to me as well as the delivery guys over here are sometimes pretty incompetent.

I could have dealt with the inaccuracies of the rest of the outfit, the fundamental parts would have been there. Vincent is not worthy of another full release imo.
I personally think we were on the right lines at the beginning, with Vince and Jules being a double set. Keep it light and just include the pistols and briefcase. This could have gone out at $1200 easily and everybody would have been happy I am sure.
I can understand the reasons why they are full blown singular releases, but I just think wrong decisions were made, but that's me

Agreed. That sounds very reasonable. The dork outfit is sort of a missed opportunity IMO.
But then again, Rainman did mentioned that the narrator would be the last time he'll do the 2 headsculpt thingy because of how time consuming it was for him. Im pretty sure he have sort of a target and deadlines per figure each year to cover his expenses and overhead.

Overheads I get, but this really felt light for $800. I am pretty sure a twin set offered at $1200 with just pistols and a briefcase would have more than covered his overheads

I had the same issue, and started worrying, so I e-mailed Rainman yesterday and he sent me tracking information. Mine shipped out on the 29th, so maybe a day or two later than some others.
I've shipped all over the world, and the worst experiences I've had, on balance, were dealing with shipments to France. Took about 2 months for a package to get to its destination once.
