i'd be 100% all over a BTTF2 marty. but i think most people would want a BTTF1 marty first/only.

Why is that, bud?

I watched all three just recently again, but before that, ive watched it during my childhood, and all I could remember was the cool delorean, the Nike sneakers, hoverboard, the two point tie and the mini pizza hut:lol

i'm not joking when i say this... but i've always called BTTF the best trilogy ever made :lol and believe me... i've caught some real ____ for that statement. i just remember seeing 2 and 3 at the cinema and being in awe as a kid. obviously, there's SW and LOTR and godfather and matrix etc. but i don't think i've watched any movie as much as BTTF, except maybe the crow and big trouble in little china.

i want a BTTF2 just so i have one from the first 2 movies. i'd probably grab an extra unpainted sculpt to kitbash a BTTF3 "clint" too.

The first film is how most people first encountered him, it's the more recognizable/iconic look, it was (obviously) more original and fresh, and in my opinion, it's the better film. But part 2 would be an awesome follow-up after Rainman tackled Marty V1 :monkey3

I would be hard-pressed to say that BTTF was a better trilogy than the original 3 Star Wars movies, but it's very possibly in second place for me. Man with No Name trilogy is probably 3rd. Lord of the Rings is nice because of the epic-ness and CG innovation, but there's something to be said for originality in film.

I wonder if he would do BTTF 1 as his figure project with a clothing kit to follow for BTTF2 including hoverboard :dunno

I would think that would be pretty popular no? I am not sure he would need to do 2 figures of the one character?

Well a second version would at least need different shoes and jacket. A second, hatted head would really make the look seem complete to me. Plus hoverboard. But whatever the case, the only real similarities would be jeans, shirt, and (maybe) head.

And if folks want both on the shelf (anyone who buys one is probably gonna want the other) they would no doubt prefer different facial expressions on the head sculpts, as well.

I guess a second figure wouldn't be necessary, but just as warranted, if not moreso, as Tyler Durden.

Interview where someone on their creative team said they would be interested in doing figures from that license. Since that has previously been said about licenses HT eventually picked up (Star Wars), folks have run with it. But I don't think it means anything.

The way i see it hot toys put out so many different figures and so fast that eventually anything they had every shown interest in making will eventually probably be made if they don't have to deal with licensing issues or things of that nature, and if hot toys don't end up pricing themselves out of the market like many believe they will.

Glad to see Marty is back in the lead where he belongs :exactly: I will be all over anything Rainman releases from BTTF.

This is how I hope things would tun out. Perfect.

I wooing simply display the bttf2 gear on stands next to my main Marty figure.

Def my fave ever trilogy.

Lets wait for TDKR next year, and then we can have this discussion again :pfft::lol

Excellent idea, but as $ is a bit tight lately with the upcoming goodies by both SS and HT, I'm only gonna be displaying 1 version of Marty, and its the one from BTTF II with the Nike Mag and the adjustable jacket look.

theres a significant change in Tyler ( v1 with the spikey hair and red leather jacket and v2 with the buzzed off hair, mustache and goatee and fur coat) which looks totally different and warrants a second figure.

For me the iconic look would be the BTTF II version, which kinda sums up what the character Marty should be. Hes a kid from the 80s, with the standard t shirt and jeans to represent the present time, and also the hi tech jacket, sneakers and floating skateboard to represent the future part of the movie.

Whereas the first look is just some jeans jacket, down vest, and some beat up standard sneakers. Without the delorean and Doc next to him, I'm afraid some people might mistaken it for a figure from 80s TV series like Family Ties or somethin :panic:

Should I get some of the people at the retirement center to vote for Max?

All we really need for a part 2 is the sneakers, future jacket and hoverboard. They could be included with part 1 as long as we also got essential p.1 stuff like the walkman, skateboard, and maybe video camera.

No i would say that would be unfair to expect Rainman to provide that much in just one release unless of course it was accepted that the cost would be much higher than any other release so far.

I think production costs on the Narrator ran high with the two head sculpts and the double clothing set. Marty and all the accessories is far more complex so there is very little chance I would say of that being considered.

I think the only chance of having both sets would either be a Tyler situation were by you get 2 figure releases or a figure release and then a kit version.
