Near Dark is better in my honest opinion.

In my humble estimation, Near Dark was nowhere near as good as it should have been, considering the cast involved. Bill Paxton did really steal the show there. Of course, it isn't like Lost Boys is an all-time classic or anything, either.

They're both fun to watch, but neither belongs in the same sentence as your Gone with the Winds, Godfathers, Citizen Kanes, and Back to the Futures of the world .

I wouldn't put Lost boys in that league of movies i agree ..but i believe it's a classic vampire movie.
