Mrs. Bear saw "Drive" in Toronto. She says it's excellent and that I am gonna love it...Teddy may be right about how we come out of the theatre, we'll see...
I'd be much more inclined to see Drive if it didn't feature that loser Ryan Gosling. Hate that moron.

Hmmmm, don't get the hate towards Gosling. It's a shame he's most known for The Notebook, but hopefully Drive can change that.

Great flick! And I'm looking forward to Drive as well.
It's odd for me to see him as a legitimate actor since I know him from Breaker High.
Gosling seems like a lot like Ed Norton to me--a guy with some real skills, but a bit over-rated IMO. I do want to see that movie, though I would be hesitant to try and get customizers to work on that, because it just came out and though a few people are gonna go gaga for whatever the newest thing is, by the time customizer X gets around to it, this movie could be yesterday's news and have a difficult time finding buyers. Who knows? This movie could be a modern masterpiece, and maybe folks are right thinking this is the new Taxi Driver or whatever (though the premises and characters seem pretty damn different from what I've read), but chances are it's gonna be more like Brick or Juno. A good, original movie people get hyped up for, that fades into more niche cult status as time goes on.

With Gosling...
I think he's pretentious, I think he's overrated and he thinks he's this indy god doing amazing work when really he's done nothing overly impressive, is he awful? Of course not but is he amazing? Absolutely not.
If you've ever read an interview with him... Well I'll speak for myself but he's the kind of guy I'd like to punch!

I've definitely seen a lot of his work, I own Lars and the Real Girl because outside of him it's a great film.

Gosling is by far the best actor in his age range, and possibly the most natural actor working right now. You won't see a more authentic performance than what he turned in with Blue Valentine last year. Drive was amazing and I'd definitely back a Rainman figure.
