On a serious note, I'm having real trouble pulling the trigger on the grand package. My perception must be completely different than the rest of the crowd here because from where I'm standing, I think that Jack's sculpt may be one of Rainman's best, if not best likeness to date... and Danny & the Twins are a bit further away than I was hoping for. I'm actually surprised that Jack isn't getting more praise, and that the Twins and Danny are.
I think the excitement level over Danny and the Twins is that they are truly different from the norm. If you are not sure you should go with the full set.
I agree, because I'm a huge fan and naturally I'd want what ever comes to life for this release. The whole set up is amazing conceptually, but I just don't see "The Twins" there. On screen they were ugly and creepy and those are defining attributes to the iconic image of them. While Rainman's are of course a great work of talent and art, they come across cute to me and don't have the creepy factor that they have on screen. Robbie's trike makes me overlook certain things about Danny, and I'll most likely cave for him, but I do wish he had a touch of a stronger likeness.
Just thinking out loud because this isn't a cheap set and Robbie already mentioned to not bank on tweaks...
Maybe seeing the twins in better lighting would help?
Yeah, I think Jack is up there with Rainman's better likenesses, and Danny and the twins less so. But the novelty of what Danny and his tricycle and the twins provide distinguish them.

I like the look of Danny.
If some highlights were added I think it would greatly improve him.

Can't stand Juliette Lewis either. NBK was a tough movie to get through and she didn't didn't make it any easier.

Dannys face is amazing in my opinion. Wonderful likeness. Its the helmet hair that needs tweaking.
I know Robbie said dont bank on tweaks or changes - but Lee has told me and others directly he "knows where to improve, and will make even better. This was just to make deadline". Of course nothing is guaranteed, but i get the feeling he knows about Dannys hair.

I agree with Mike I am a Shining fan but Danny and the twins did not push me over to the grand package, The price point was excellent but other than Robbie's amazing trike there was no hook for me. It is really frustrating because I love Lee's work and I have the money but I wasn't blown away. Hard-core fans definitely can ignore a few imperfections and be excited because this is probably the best Of the best.

I completely agree. They are something different and unique and conceptually make a killer display. I understand all that is involved in creating the twins, but that doesn't change the fact that $750 is a lot of dough (could be considered $610 if you buy the grand package; still a lot of dough).
I'd really hate to have to pass but I would love to see clearer pics of them. I'm just not getting the creep factor that I need to justify spending that money

Rainman didn't even post very clear pictures of the twins' faces. There's really only one shot (the one with Danny in the foreground) where you can make out their eyes. That suggests to me that the likeness wasn't his primary concern with those figures.
I don't imagine it would happen, but would be awesome if Rainman gave Danny a switch out arm piece connected by a magnet or something, so you could pose one of his arms doing this:
