Yeah, the dog as DX seems like something folks could easily pass on. Alternate HS would be nice, but for Doc, it wasn't a completely new face, just new hair. I would imagine that would be a hell of a lot easier from a sculpting POV (like the alt. Ed Norton just had a puffy eye, but everything else was the same). Not that it isn't possible, After all, he sculpted an entirely new character for the Wonka accessory, but a new head sculpt with completely new face would set a new precedent for Rainman work.

I know this is the movie version of Pee-Wee, but I would probably pass on any DX set not having something related to the TV show. Now, if you get Chairry, Pterri, or Jambi. . .

I love the movie more than the show, but I think the show has way better accessories than the movie. Making Jambi would be an extra HS no? :rotfl Chairy would be awesome.

The movie is very limited with accessories, when you take the Bike out of the equation, but the extra HS would more than compensate and the Tequila shoes would be awesome. The thumb, Texas sign, hikers bag, and tequila shoes would be all I would need.

I am a little iffy about the bike horn. The irony in having the horn, but not the bike :dunno

The bike horn is essential! Considering it's how the bike was stolen when he went to buy it. And seeing as how the figures will have no bike I think its perfect. I'd love a second head over Speck myself. Even though I'd love to see what Rainman could do with him.

But thats up to Rainman to decide. Tequila Shoes, Bike Horn and Satan's Helpers vest are a must. The Texas sign can be easily made as well as the Hitchhiking stick and bag. But knowing Rainman he can make accessories as simple as these stunning!

As for the show stuff. You can pick up an old school Chairy from ebay that looks like it would work pretty well with a 12 inch Pee Wee. Plus we are going for the movie version. Reubens and Burtons vision! :) Show stuff can be bashed pretty easy.

This figure should be treated as a straight full set offer, similar to Bill.
Give me the figure, tequila shoes, and Satans Helpers Vest. $750-800 and Done. The Bike should have been offered separately like Lucy, 5 peices at $400-$600 and it would have sold out instantly.

I agree the hitch hiking stick and bag would be easy to make along with the texas sign. The thumb would have to be an alternate hand. No? The vest would be tougher to make (for me that is :pfft:) so I would like Rainman to tackle this. The Tequila shoes are a must. I am praying for an additional HS from Rainman.

So instead of Ringo as the next project after Pee Wee how about:

This would be awesome! 800 for Pee Wee and 400-600 for the Bike.

I would do that in a heartbeat! :yess:

Yes, but presumably not something you could actually switch out with a Pee Wee head. . .though that would be awesome if you could :lol

I know you aren't a fan of the TV show, but you know as well as I do that a mass released stuffed chairy doll from the 1980s isn't the same as something Rainman would produce :D And I really don't know anything else from the show that could be bashed any easier than accessories from the movie could be except for, maybe, giant ball of aluminum foil :lol Biker vest or a Barbie's dog, for instance, could be bashed as rough stand-ins, but who would want that? We are all Rainman fans here, and want Rainman created accessories, no?

I got this! I'll take care of the ball of aluminum foil. I'll start an interest thread. I'll only make about 10 so make sure you let me know. :lol

I like the show but this is a movie project. So that's the main focus. And what I meant about the bashes was that they sell alot of those characters and they are pretty close to scale. Sure they can be more detailed for today's standards but they are out there. Plus with Rainmans busy schedule I don't see him taking on a Chairy or Jambi. Not that I wouldnt love then but I feel lucky just getting Pee Wee bro!

Judging past Rainman releases, accessories wise, that does seem a lot to me actually.

Compared to Bills Individual Blades and belt and everything Doc's coming with, these accessories aren't much at all. Simple stuff. Take a look at the movie then you would see.

i'm curious.... what expression are you veering towards personally, mags?

Man! It's hard to choose. I like the first pic I posted and the third for sure. Fourth one is great too. I'm in the process of taking screen caps from the bluray to capture many different looks. I need a little more time since I wont be able to tackle it tonight. Hopefully tomorrow night for sure.

Above all else we need a smiling smirking sculpt. That's the essence of Pee Wee for sure!

Ok ladies….. so I hope I’m not stepping on anybody’s toes here. I could not see Pee Wee go without a bike so I am working on it as we speak. I managed to find a full metal version of the bike in 1/6 which was released in the early 1990’s and is no longer available. It has all moving parts, the chain even rotates the back wheel. I’m not sure on the final price yet as I have sunk a lot of cash into this project but it will be realistic, did I mention that I managed to obtain 26 of these bad boys. The only difference is the front suspension which I will work out. I will be sculpting the add on parts over the next few weeks, can’t see any big problems apart from the mirrors. Don’t worry, I know the standard of this figure will be high so going to take my time with each piece of the bike. Not sure if I have time to put all these together, maybe 10 painted and the rest as a kit.

Color me interested, Gary!

And to Magnus, it is a movie figure and so a movie related accessory with the DX makes most sense. I think it would be a nice nod to fans of the show if he gave folks something that referred to it, and something from the show could be colorful and enticing to folks, but I don't actually expect he will go that route. I'm sure it will be awesome no matter what Rainman does :rock
