I have also spoke with Rainman about these issues. Trust he's reading and considering all feedback. He said this is a tough likeness to capture but he's confident he will pull it out in the end. I am really stressing the youngness of the sculpt more than the expression. It needs to be more slimmed and narrow faced. I know he can pull this off!

Yes, the youthfulness is very important to the sculpt. Pee Wee had some nice ass skin! Porcelain skin if I had to say so and not many wrinkles. So all the texture to the skin won't be too necessary. Of course, the finished paint job will be key in finalizing the look as well with the rosey cheeks and reddish lips, etc.

He's practically there so it should be noted that we all think Rainman is doing an AMAZING job!! I hope he reads how much we support his work and effort.

That's an great point! Pee Wee youthfulness did have a porcelain like feature to it, really no wrinkles at all!

Yes this might be a sculpt where the skin texture is not needed at all.

After Axe said Iminimi's paint up of Doc was more realistic than the RM version. I kept thinking how perfect Rainman's style would fit Pee Wee. Its a match made in heaven

Looking at those last pics posted, I do think it would be nice if this sculpt--whatever it ends up looking like--is neckless. A lot of Pee-Wee's personality comes out in the way he poses his head.

After looking at this pic, that definitely seems to be the case.

This is the unpainted sculpt... the likeness looks better here, the photoshop is kinda distracting

Im not really seeing Pee Wee Herman in this sculpt. Not To mention it looks like he bit through his tongue. It distracts from the sculpt more then adds to it.

I like it but I also agree with what everyone has had to say. Hopefully he'll go with the serious look, otherwise I'd like the asymmetrical eyebrow expression. Something silly should be the standard, while a more serious expression should be the DX.

It's not a great expression and I agree there is little Pee-Wee there and the tongue looks odd. I'm all for expressions on characters to change things up but this isn't something I assossiate with the character of Pee-Wee and I've been watching him since pre-k.

so many expressions to choose from. my picks:

absolutely love the first and second to last one i posted.... but i'm a fan of extreme expressions for outlandish characters like pee wee and i realize i'm probably in the minority. i'd be ok with a more neutral expression if that's the general consensus.

for accessories, i'd most likely display him with tequilla shoes or the hobo bundle or speck. if it comes with any of those i'll be happy-wee (crap pun alert!).

(ps. i just saw francis in an episode of seinfeld)
