Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

I kinda feel the same way, although I love the movie, Doc is the only one I'm interested in getting.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Despite Kurt Russels poor performance in Tombstone, when I watch the second last scene between him and Doc, I realize that we need Wyatt to stand next to Doc. There is a strong bond evident between the two throughout the film.

So I would see no problem if Rainman gave us Earp and skipped out on Ringo, therefore moving onto another line before 2012 is up.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Wyatt and Ringo for me also! Pee Wee=not interested.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

What's with the "poor performance" stuff?
Like what pray tell.
He played him as a stoic hardass that just wanted to be left alone but forced to step up.
He played it great and ballsey.
"You go first Ike, get it?"
"Your friends might take me in a rush but not before I turn your head into a canoe."

Russell was great, he looked lean and mean.
He plays pissed great.
A masterstroke of casting.

Personally I didn't feel he was right for the role. And his lines came out sounding cheesy. But his scenes with Doc were brilliant

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

About Ike: I still remember when I watched the movie for the first time, the only character I hated to the core (and wanted to kill myself!) was Ike. :lol Towards the end of the movie, we were like, why doesn't somebody kill him already!! Great (spineless) performance by Stephen Lang.

Interestingly, I found on the net that Doc was buried in a cemetery in Glenwood Springs, but the exact location of his grave is unknown. Some say that he might have been buried in Griffin, Georgia; where he was born. Believed it was done that way "to foil possible grave desecration by foes."

Anybody ever been there?

Yeah don't agree with the poor performance comment. I only want Doc but that is taking nothing away from Russell as I thought he was pretty awesome.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Fair enough. That's just my opinion after watching the movie last night.:dunno
Won't stop me from buying the figure.

I kept thinking of him as Kurt Russell (an actor I really like btw) as Wyatt, instead of just thinking of him as Wyatt. Which wasn't the case with Doc really. He's just got such a distinctive look about him I guess that I couldn't shake it. I thought he did a fine job, but I had a difficult time suspending disbelief.

All good mate:lol

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Tombstone is a top notch western IMO. My personal favorite movie of all time. I know I have seen it at least 10 times and can recite many of the lines before the actor speaks them. I can't say that about any other film. So many memorable lines (mostly from Doc I admit). I feel all actors did a very good job of bringing their character to life. The only one spot in the movie I feel that keeps it from pure perfection is when Virgil comes back in the bar to arrest Ike and pistol butts him very weakly (almost missing it appears) and Ike is instantly out cold:slap.

Anyway, Wyatt is a must. Ringo would be hrd to pass up. I would even like Morgan and Virgil.

Such a cool tutorial!

I can't believe the wait is almost over. :panic:

Ringo and Wyatt are gonna be awesome. :yess:

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Kurt Russell was pretty good as Wyatt. It was Costner's portrayal that was weak.
