Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Great poses everyone! Particularly Robbie and ShortRound. Loving the cigarette holding look with the other hand on the gun. That's how I'll want to display my Doc.

Any tips for getting a relaxed true-type hand to look like a cigarette holding hand? Or is there an 'actual' HT cigarette holding hand out there?

Rainman actually posted a tutorial earlier in the thread. Basically, get the hand really hot and pliable, put it in the pose you want, "shock" it with cold water there to help it set a bit, and glue it in place. I've used the hot/cold water trick on figures for years.

Awesome, thanks for the tip! :rock

The hands I have are unmodified from the muscle TT body. Love those new relaxed hands. They dont look like they are digging for clams.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Just ordered a set of them hands also :duff

Also thanks to uscmhicks grabbed myself a pair of them explorer boots :)

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Nope. Looks fine in person. :exactly:
Well Teddy was anyway. I just found it surprising as folks have previously argued for getting the full sets as it is the fullest artistic vision of Rainman. I have no problem with mods. I got the parted set here. I just haven't noticed people doing that before beyond stuff like new hands for Bill (b/c the basic TTs didn't have it) or cigarette for the Dude.

Posting these for commtech. He's unable to at the moment. These are the boots. Can't wait. What a MAJOR improvement. :yess:

I saw people changing the pants of his Blondie as they weren't black enough. Also saw some changing either his vest, poncho or shirt, for varous reasons.

A great mod Comm.

Can't wait to get all my little bits finished up on this now :lol

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

Restart your computer, or try to open it in another browser. When I open his site once using a certain browser and leave, I'm not able to re-open without doing one of those things.

Tried IE and Chrome. Neither worked. I guess I will have to pass on this.

Thanks anyway though.

I just feel it needed tweaking for perfection :monkey3

That's way before my time on board the Rainman train :D I bet some guys would really freak out looking back at those posts and what people were doing to modify it, considering how valuable that figure is now in its original state.

Like 'Void, I'm all about mods to make the figure more accurate or better looking on the shelf, though I usually won't be fussed with doing much of that.
