Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

For those you you who put your figures together, did you all follow rainman's tutorial and drill a whole into a neck plug and so fourth? ..I don't have anything that can make a whole that small, so as a temporary measure a coiled a twist tie around the neck plug and had a part of it stick up at the top to keep the head in place, works pretty well but I'd like to have it done properly.

Damn, that coat is one of the coolest 1/6 articles of clothing I've laid eyes on!

If you want to make a hole thru plastic just hold a nail with a pair of pliers and heat the tip of the nail up til it glows (I do this on the stove) and then just push it thru the top of the neck, should be like a hot knife thru butter. Just becareful you don't burn yourself.

For my DX head I went another route and got it done very quickly. I pressed the point of the pin firmly on the adapter in the middle to leave a mark. Then I used the point of a knife to dig a little hole primarily by rotating the knife enough to just stick the pin in a little and then with a hammer, I slowly started banging on top of the pin while holding it with my other hand to force it in. After you get it 1/3 in, with a little more force of the hammer, goes completely in. I was done in seconds, surprised how fast it went in. Hope it helps.

Great idea! I was gonna use a dremel, but this should be a lot easier.

Great pics Snake. Truly a beautiful figure. Well worth the price , I can tell how fantastic this must look in hand.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

that whole Doc Ringo thing, it didn't go down like that!

Nobody really knows who killed Ringo. He was found with a bullet hole to his head, a playing card on his body, and his body was lying against a tree. Speculation was either Doc or Wyatt.

Cheers bud. This appears the second hardest to 'capture' in pics, right after Wonka.

I think it looks damn good in the pics!! ..someday I hope to buy a proper camera to take some good picture of him!

and thanks for those tips fellas!:)

This is a pretty great shot by Shorty! ..but ya everything always looks better inhand.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

I agree with Snake, the pics are just not measuring up. Same with Wonka.

Re: Rainmans New Project: Dr. Huckleberry

I think Robbie and Corrose's pics have been the best so far. They've been able to capture all the little details of both the head sculpt and the outfit. But I do agree this thing is marvelous in hand.

It sure does, my only nitpicks is that the badge won't stay on very well and the boots aren't great.( I ended up getting those better ones on ebay) but overall I'm thrilled to have this, this will remain in my collection forever!:yess:

Can you please share a pic Calci. Are they the same which Hector posted, the Virtual Toys - Explorer ones?
