Looks good - not clear to me that the fabric of the coat is quite right:

Also was hoping for a little more manic expression - face looks a bit bland for the Gene Wilder characterization.

Looks great but I agree with Yodasan, the material for the coat does not look right, I think something similar to what kato used for his Joker coat would work better.

Sounds promising. Your Eagle Eye was so amazing that maybe we become a little spoiled, expecting perfection. Anyway - already a lot to love in what you've shown already. Thanks taking on such an iconic figure.

I agree, the hair needs to be tweaked a bit. Wilder's hair is frizzy, should not have curl to it. I also wish the facial expression was representative of his classic movie look. He looks happy on this figure instead of like a trouble maker.

I have to admit, I'm just not feeling this one. The coat is all wrong, the wig looks horirble, and the sculpt could use more work. Such potential, but I feel Rainman just rushed this one.

He really needs to go back and sculpt some hair and work on the sculpt some more. He said he was already loooking into a different coat material so that should fix that at least.

Incredible figure. The tailoring , the sculpt , everything , all top notch.
I've decided I'm going to pass though. This really would just look odd with the rest of my collection and everything I have is from one of my favorite movies which this is not. I vowed not to break that rule after I sold my other stuff !. I'm trying to fund something else at the moment also so that makes it a little easier.

I agree, but like rainman said himself this is just the prototype, I'm sure the final product will look much better, I'm cool with the wig, it just needs tweaking so the hat sits on his head correctly, the expression could do with a little mischief in it, and the coat needs serious work but it looks like rainman is already on top of that!

I was thinking about getting the outfit and head set but I'm on the fence about that now unless the figure is tweaked to my liking.

I think you hit it on the head. It seems like this project was rushed and the next project is already on the way (Marty McFly). I hope a little more time will be spent to get the hair and coat right. I also hope the facial expression is something Rainman would consider changing.
