buttmunch is right i was so excited for this and i'm a little let down by this. bit it's only the proto shot and hopefully it all gets fixed if not i'll be saving alot of money.

I'll definitely be getting one. It's on lock [dx]. A second one, just a clothing painted head set... possibly.

As i said I'm very much on the fence as regards this figure, I've shown interest in his figures in the past but never pulled the trigger on any of them, I think I may end up passing on yet another Rainman figure, my wallet will be pleased!

The thing is, nothing will come close to this. And this licenses won't be something a HT will pick up or be interested in.

Rainman's figures are not for everyone. That's the fact...

So, you better be sold completely on any of his works if you are going to drop big coin.

I want to speak well english for explane.but i can't ..so sad..

I found FOr long time for fabric with my tailer.
She is pro.she has to find thin fabric.
we can't use human fabric.

Wig too.
I wanna use samw wig as movie but that is impossble.
I have to find" simillar wig with color"

And this is resin head.
If i find good wig.. i would stick one by one.
if so my figure will be expensive as real gold.

You guys knew already my style.
even show last prototype, i have fixed until when i shipping day.

last prototype is not last to me.
when you get my figure, it will be my last prototype.

I'm sure.
I knew that I can't satisfies to all people.
But i am human.^^

I have tried for my fans.

This is my truth.

I think you hit it on the head. It seems like this project was rushed and the next project is already on the way (Marty McFly). I hope a little more time will be spent to get the hair and coat right. I also hope the facial expression is something Rainman would consider changing.

Rainman is just doing the accessories and clothing for Marty. The head sculpt will be by Z Sculptor, and if you don't like it there is always one of Trevor Grove's

Hey, I'm just saying it how it is. For the price this will fetch, more time and care should have gone into it. Rainman should at least have gotten a non-bootleg DVD so he could see the correct coloring

While I do agree the figure could look much better, you must remember some figures are probably easier to make at 1/6 scale then others, it all comes down to the character design and if the right material for the 1/6 of that character can be found.

I'm sure the final product will look much better, even if it's just the coat that gets fixed.

I'm knocked out by this. A wonderful Christmas release from Rainman, as he intended. Beautiful, colorful, and he looks like he's got a secret.

To me this figure is awesome, I wish my skills could get near the greatness of this sculpt.

Well, then a sub-par figure should have a lower pricepoint. I figure it should either be done right or not at all.

I gotta say, I'm a bit surprised at the negativity. Rainman said he did the best he could with the material available. But he's also an artist, and makes artistic choices such as going for the wig over sculpted hair. No customizer is gonna appease every potential customer, and folks buy from Rainman, in part, because they dig his style and his choices. If you don't dig it, that's cool, but some of the posts here come off as pretty unduly negative and unreasonable to me.

Personally, I think you've gotta let the man work, accept it for what it is, then make your choice. No one has to buy if they don't like it of course. I personally won't, in part, because I'm not a huge fan of the film or character. But if Rainman wants to do something, then that's that. I don't think any of us have the right to tell him to "do it this way or don't do it at all." In any case, hard to imagine anyone doing a better figure version of this character ever. If you love the character and wanna pass, you may end up regretting it in the long run despite your reservations.

I like it overall. It's way better than his Dexter but no where near his DDL Bill.

Most of the shortcomings come down to personal taste for me. Sculpt expression choice, and choice of rooted hair vs sculpted.
