I actually hope he does a Hepburn and not Gary Oldman! But will be honest in saying I don't think Id want one badly enough to pay full price, though I'd jut love to see what he could do with it. it's more of a challenge an there are not enough good 1/6 females out there at all. I think a lot of people get the barbie vibe, there's a lot of room for growth. Plus Hepburn is so much more iconic/worthy IMO.

aww shucks why didn't he get into clockwork orange instead i want a damn alex de large.

I agree. I'm not sure there is much interest in Stansfield beyond 3-4 people. He has done the Fighter series for so long, it will be interesting if he goes with a stand alone figure or another in a series next.

Thanks for the info Jack! I swore after the Fighter series I was getting out of the pricey custom 1/6 figures but Im definitely curious to see what Rainman is gonna offer next. If its Hepburn its a pass for me.

:lecture Don't forget the fanboys that cannot deal with realistic depictions of women, the opposite extreme of Barbie. If she doesn't have EEE breasts she might as well not exist. Sideshow seems to have become overcome by that mentality, hence no Marion Ravenwood.

That is why I want this head so desperate to add Mrs. Lovett to my Sweeney Todd. But apparently unlike every other Rainman figure to date this head alone will not be available. :gah:

thats what makes this piece so special itss the end all be all to our fight club collections.... that and earlier a bunch of imbiciles said marla is expendable... they would rather see gary oldman in a suit... luckily someone cancelled and santajack informed me or I would've missed out on this too.

At a $600 price point, I can understand the want for a more complex costume but i'm sorry, I've just grown to hate this retarded kind of comment.

"in a suit"

Most of the greatest cinema performances were given in a suit. Whats so differant about the Narrator figure, he's pretty much in a suit. The guy in your avatar, wearing a suit.

Oldman has not been done in this scale, is a deserving actor, and imo Stansfield is one of the greatest movie adversaries ever.

I cannot deny the iconic status of say Tyler Durden, but the performance itself did not strike me the same way as Oldman's Stansfield.

narrator came with two costumes and two heads. the guy in my avatar is only available through headsculpt and not a full figure.

So whats your point, Narrator still came with a suit, when its finished, Hanna is still just wearing a suit.

It's about more then that, its the art of the sculpt and the character etc, and obviously you know that. I can understand not wanting a certain figure, but how does people who wanted Stansfield rather then Marla make them an imbecile because "hes a guy in a suit"? Its just a stupid thing to say.

Couldn't agree more. McClane is just a guy in grey pants and a tank top...he doesn't even have ____ing shoes on. But when I have him completed in my collection, he will most likely be my favorite figure.

Point being at 600 dollars Stansfield is not worth the money. Narrator came with a suit but obviously the extras made up for that. Hanna isn't even close to 600 dollars.

To be quite honest this isn't even really about whether it's worth the 600 or not. If Rainman did make Stansfield I wouldn't have given a care.... I thought it was a ____ move for a bunch of guys here trying to convince Rainman to skip Marla. The guys who were collecting the Fight Club series from day one obviously wanted to finish the collection but we had people saying Marla was irrelvant make Stansfield instead..

Exactly. It's a very unique, eye catching design. What sets Ed's Narrator apart from a ubiquitous 'guy in suit' is the bruising to his face, the disheveled suit, sleeves rolled up, and tie undone. Add the 'Hello my name is Cornelius' sticker and you've got a unique and engaging look that sums up what he is all about, a damaged person drowning in a sea of other bland 'guys in suits'. It's certainly not the only way one should judge a figure, craftsmanship and backstory naturally are of great importance, but it's often good to pretend you know nothing about the property or actor it's based on and taking only the visual aspect of the character into consideration, ask yourself if it stands out on a shelf as something exciting and interesting and is there something unique about the look that draws you in and makes you want to know more about that character?

No one here was trying to convince Rainman not to make marla????

obviously it sold out just like the rest, and I purchased the full versions of the previous 3 Rainman fight club figures, but skipped on marla, purely for selective and cost purposes, not cause I was disappointed with the selection.

as for the "guy in suit" comment, again, just ridiculous. It's all about iconography, and of course personal preference. Who here wouldnt be thrilled with say, Jules and Vince from pulp fiction, or Michael Corleone offerings from rainman/ any company? Suits, yet standouts in any 1/6 film collection.

The sweater fabric didn't change, but Marla got a hat. :D

And the Hepburn looks beautiful, she has always been one of my favorite actresses from classic Hollywood, but like his amazing Chaplin figure I'm going to take a break from this offering.
