I hope this motivates HT to make at least one First Blood figure. One of those one and done releases they sneak in every year in the mist of all the Marvel, DC and SW crap.

Someone said a magazine or something supposedly translated to a Rambo DX coming, or probably something like Howard wanting to do one but ultimately the company decided it wasn't worth the investment, or by that point they had wind of Expendables and shifted over to that.

Not likely, but I'd love if they did Rambo 4.

It'd be nice to get a Rambo trailer with the classic theme.

I'm glad there's no shaky cam in the footage. When he takes out the knife, it reminds me of the ending of part II.

I wonder if the ranch showdown is at the end or in the middle of the film? I figured the film would end with Rambo going to Mexico, but it looks like he goes there in the first or second act, and meets some gong members? Maybe they'll help him?

After the disappointment of the terminator trailer this is a much needed palate cleanser.

Looks fantastic, Stallone is in amazing form and it looks like he is not holding back on the violence.

I'm not sure which trailer I like more. I wasn't expecting the new music, which is really like a joke song....but they made it sound cool in the trailer, and somehow fits. I bet that opening shot of him in in the chair is the final scene of the film and he dies. :(

The action itself doesn't look that amazing, but it'll be violent, so that might make up for it. The showdown at the ranch seems like it's the final act, so I hope this movie is not too long, because it could easily get boring. Grace said it had a Netflix look, but I wouldn't go that far. I think it looks pretty good.

It's only a teaser, so hopefully the official trailer shows a bit more of the story and uses the Jerry Goldsmith theme. Most people won't watch the official trailer, so I think this trailer could have been a bit stronger to get people interested. Not me, I'm watching this no matter what, but for people that didn't know there was a new Rambo film. Nevertheless, it's a lot better looking and it has a better tone than the Terminator 6 trailer.

Check out the poster.

That wasn't the official theatrical poster tho, but it is great. Definitely better. I used to have that poster as my screensaver, but I had the one with the red headband instead. The theatrical poster was a closeup of his face with the bow, and I wasn't a fan of it.

Never saw one actually in the theater so I didn't know that, I assume you're talking about this one, still not a bad poster, but pales to the first I shared.

Yup, that's the one they had in theaters. I think I went to see I Am Legend or No Country for Old Men when I saw it. I was like, that's the poster? Ok.

I didn't see a lot of movies in 2007 to have a chance to see the poster, and that one launched my amazing year of movies in 2008.

Ok , color me interested.

But it needs to have a story about how his past is now plaguing him.

Personally a drug cartel is so cliche ots almost not worth watching. If somehow they can connect the dots to he herion trade in Vietnam or something it will add another level to it.

I really didn’t care for any of them after First Blood which was a surprise in it eventual depth and story.

Sent from the inside of a giant slug in outer space.....

I still miss the long hair and headband. I can't let it go. :lol

However, I found this about Native American culture, and since Rambo is part Native American, the short hair kid of works for the character.

Many tribes cut their hair when there is a death in the immediate family. Its an outward symbol of the deep sadness and a physical reminder of the loss. The cut hair represents the time with their loved one, which is over and gone, and the new growth is the life after.

The cutting of hair can also signify separating from past actions or thoughts. When a Native American cuts their hair, the hair is often treated with respect. It can be placed into a flowing river, buried, or burned.

Long Hair and Superpowers

Samson notwithstanding, some Native American tribes even believe that the hair is connected to the nervous system. That long hair reaches out like tentacles, and pulls energy and information from the world around us similar to a cat’s whiskers.

We’ve come across different versions of a story about the Vietnam war, where skilled Native American trackers were recruited for their abilities as scouts by the US Army. It’s said that after joining the Army and getting their military haircuts, they lost their powers and failed to perform in the field.

Saw the trailer today and it did not feel like a Rambo movie at all but just a new Stallone movie. No iconic Rambo/First Blood soundtrack at all. We need a new trailer mixed with the proper music.
