Well if its Les or Josh repainting it, it should look 100% better.

Sir Les will be taking care of it for me. I'm having him do some customization outside of film accurracy though with one aspect. It bugged me that only in a few scenes did you see his face scar in 4 so I want that added, I don't think he had the prosthetic on at all in the battle sequence because of the dirt and all. I'm also having it done Rambo 2 style as it was actually wounded on him, I never got why in Rambo 3 they changed the direction it went in, and when he does have it in 4 it matched 3. Of course, they changed his body scars every movie too, except his arm scar from First Blood, that was the same in 2 and 3.

Oh, even if HT does Rambo 4, that'll be special because it rounds out the HT lineup, but the statue, especially after having a good friend repaint it it like it will be will be a treasured and priceless thing no figure could live up to. If it weren't for the symetry of having figures from every movie, I'd probably be content enough just having this statue filling the void, but it would make me feel good to to have a figure, plus he could have guns and stuff and make him different.

I've told Les, unless something comes up where he needs to ask me if I'm ok with some aspect of the paint, I don't want to see any pictures of it until I get it back, I want the full surprise of pulling the stryrofoam away and having no clue what I'm about to see.

Yeah, it was a really strange paint job from production, granted Les' work will be better than the production was ever going to be, but it was really weird. His pants, base and knife were painted really well, blending, good fading, wearing on it all, then on his arms and face, the blood paint looks almost cartoonish, harsh, harsh edges, just unrealistic.

The blood stains on his arms are a bit to clean edged as well, plus they were more brown than red and looked more like mud.

Something like dirt shouldn't have every edge of the splatter a perfect stop like that.

That said, I hope this PF is clean, even though I like the action pose and all, other than some weathering on his pants, but going by his upper body we see in the preview, looks like I'll get my wish.

Yeah I can see it. The dirt does have the weakest effect.

Yup, and it's on the part that matters most :lol The secondary parts of the thing (knife, clothes, base) look great and the most important parts look goofy haha.

The best part'll be the life Les breaths into his face though, he'll fully have that pissed off intensity in his eyes when it's done :rock

It will too because that sculpt is ace imo. Just as you said the sculpt work was very well done but left with bad paint. Damn :D now you got me wanting something Rambo 4. :lol

Okay, now i'm officially on deck for a Rambo 4 DX. It'll happen.

I thought Rambo, as a person was most badass in 4. In First Blood, he was a highly skilled soldier, but Rambo 4 felt like that guy plus the extra years of what went on in 1-3 piling on his persona and he was just this boiling pot of rage with the skills to unleash hell upon his enemies.

He was the ultimate badass in part 4. I loved the character even more because of 4. I'm a FB and part 4 fan but love the character so .........

Right from the get go you can tell he's become as cold as ice in part 4. I love it!

Yeah, pretty quickly sums up his feelings in 4, "^^^^ the world." :lol

Even in the end, he realizes there are things missing in his life and goes home, but in the same moments, he also stands embodiment that war and fighting just are the way, that there will always be a battle somewhere to be fought. That's what I love about the end of 4, Rambo stands there as a symbol to Sarah that these horrible things are a part of human nature that will likely never change, and Sarah stands as a symbol for Rambo that there's more to life than war.

That and his expression shows her what he's been through, the events that would have piled over many years of experience. "He's been around" They are all in shock and in tears and he just stands there without a blink of emotion.

Perfect ending imo.

Yup, which is why I especially listened to the music and thought about that scene for my illustration, I wanted to do a portrait of Rambo embodying what he'd become and I think the picture I went off of embodies that.

Aprroximately 5 hours left to wait, yes, I'm that antsy :lol It's been a year since a new Rambo product came around, I get this feeling once a year :lol

any clue as to what the exclusive will be? really looking forward to getting the ex. version but i dont think im gonna be on my computer, or home for that matter by the time the pf goes up for preorder.

Well at this point, it's only speculation if there even is an exclusive, not every SSC item gets one.

If there is one, best guess on what can be seen is swappable heads as a photo posted here showed a seam along where the necklace is at the neck.
