I honestly don't think it is so bad...Stallone's likeness must be difficult to portray in 3D and this is not a bad representation of it. Not perfect, but not bad either

I can actually see Stallone. I think the paints letting this down but the sculpt could probably be improved too. I'm keeping my order for now.

But the Hot Toys sculpt looks like Stallone and not some generic mongoloid. To me, that's more important.

It still looks like Stallone to me. I can look past not having a perfect likeness as long as the piece still portrays the character, and this piece does to me.

I'd buy it if I collected statues, but I don't play with stiff things.

Well, it would be nice if they started doing it, like HT. They would propably sell more also because more people are happy with the final product.

Agreed. I think 6+ months should be more than enough time to improve the paint apps. The likeness is there imo.

That's actually and improvement with their photos, a lot of the older ones flooded potraits with so much light you had no sense of form, at least these help show that off, I wish we got some shots of the left side of his face though, see the scar and all.

I hear you about the older pics, but their current pics shouldn't be so dark. I shouldn't have to be looking at shadow images and wondering is it bad because of the sculpt or the lighting. This is a company (SS) that makes it's living through sales and their pieces should be shown in the best light possible. Hire a professional photographer. If the person they have is a pro, then they should go back and look at their resume and start calling people. Stupid joke, but really they need a photographer.

That was one of the 1st things I thought as well, and yes I think it should be a little bit wider, If SS do do some more tweaks to this I REALLY hope they will be:

1) realistic looking paint job (looks too plastic/toy like just now)
2) at least give us a knife seeing as he has knife holder on his left leg at waist!!
3) that base looks
4) the pose needs to more of a squat.
5) the finger nails are the same colour as the rest of him!!! thats bad!!

cant think of anything else just now, its VERY late here now and am pretty tired and am not thinking straight, so off to bed.

Im sure there will be a lot of you who would also agree there is lot more should be done to this piece especially at that price IMHO.
