I think to a degree. Usually paired with severe trauma at or prior to onset. Guy I saw used Boston and Russian accents at different times with different working goals. There’s people out there who act like they have 1000 personalities and try to “lure” the alters to manifest on YouTube, which tells me they are fake. The dissociation typically manifests in light of stress, not volition. So I guess there’s evidence that it does exist but not a lot of science to fully explain it.

I see. I'm not like denying it's real or anything, but as you said a lot of it is a bunch of fakers.
