Dracula (1931) - 6/10

My first viewing, can't say much... Bela Lugosi and Edward Van Sloan are the only redeemable factors.
Cinematography is ok overall but that editing... eh.

She was obviously in on the scam the entire time, I'm just a bit confused as to what her actual role was.

Her role was to fake a suicide attempt and then manipulate whatever psychiatrist assigned to her into thinking that standard medications wouldn't work on her. Which would prompt them into contacting her former psychiatrist for help (which just happened to be her partner in the scheme) so Jones could suggest trying that new experimental drug. Then Mara's job was to murder her husband while on the drug (exploiting the side effect of patients sleep walking) to tarnish the manufacturer's image and drop its stock to make Mara and Jones rich.

:wave

Any suggestions on good movies to watch on Halloween?

I've never been a huge horror fan outside of sci-fi, so I haven't seen many of the classics like Halloween, Friday the Thirteenth, American Werewolf in London, etc. Those are all on my list though.

What else should I check out?

I always make sure I watch The Crow, Donnie Darko, and Nightmare Before Christmas.

I just catch all the other "horror" movies on TV. :lol

I watched The Crow for the first time recently and wasn't very fond of it. I'll check out Donnie Darko though. Might be a good time to rewatch Nightmare Before Christmas as well, haven't seen it in forever.

The World's End - 7.7/10

Watch Trick 'r Treat, and Halloween 3.

You won't find a better pair of films that represent the holiday perfectly.
