Conan the Destroyer - 4/10

Carrie remake 8/10, watched it because of a good score here, it's a pretty solid remake, not better than the original though, it was part the same as the original and part something different, this is a good remake to introduce a new generation to the movie, Chloe Grace Moretz is really talented, I didn't think I'd buy her as Carrie but I did, and Julian Moore was excellent, the supporting cast was also very good but far less memorable than the original, that's ok since kids these days are pretty generic the only thing that this movie does better than the original are Carries telekinetic feats, those were very impressive.

DBZ Battle of the Gods 8/10 really fun to watch, but it was more a 2 hour episode than a movie, anyway, everything I love about DBZ was there in large quantities, light hearted humor and pretty awesome fights, SSJ God was lame though.

I was relieved the movie didnt get too emotional, being a Father of a 5 year old girl, stories like this can bring out my inner wimp.

Brokeback Mountain: 1/10

I thought this was a prequel to The Dark Knight about how the Joker came to be...I was so wrong. I loved the Heath vs Jake fight scenes tho.

It's a new adaptation of the book, not a remake of De Palma's movie

I'm glad you liked it though! I fear that a lot of people are too quick to dismiss something that dares to be too similar to something they already love. I agree about Carrie's telekenetic rampage, very cool.

Warm Bodies: 7/10 - The testosterone tells me Im not allowed to like it, but I can't deny it was quite enjoyable

Amazing Spider Man: 7.5/10 - Has its flaws, but I'd still rank it right behind SM2

Paranormal Activity - 7 / 10

Never seen any of this series before - wasn't that interested. It was on TV tonight, & I thought - because it's the first one.. I'll give it a watch.

It was alright for the most part; the candidness of the style, the awkward moments between the couple, the escalating tension & fear of the unknown force in their house. I thought the girl was great - she played her role well. So too with the boyfriend - he's the kind of guy you want to slap across the back of the head whenever you see him. He reminded me a little of a younger Ray Romano with a little less idiocy.

The part that ruined it for me - the very end. The very last bit. ****ing STUPID!!!

Needless to say, I won't be watching any of the others, & I see there's a new one just about to hit theatres.

I just watched another great film by Tom hanks called captain Phillips, it was pretty decent and a great role played by forest gump himself, a few slow parts and parts that make you want to yell at the tv but overall a great film
