Age of Ultron - 6/10

Signs -- 7.5 / 10

Second watch, after not having seen it for literally a decade. I basically like the movie - great cast, performances & story, but the ending grated on me last time from memory ("swing away Meril"), & I thought I'd feel the same way this time. Not so much it turns out.

It makes sense, given the character's history & Father Mel's constant flashback reminders. The CG alien looks ridiculous, certainly doesn't hold up to today's FX at all. :lol That said, it worked in the shadows, before the big reveal at the end.

Overall, I liked the premise, but early 2000s FX is funny. Amazing how Jurassic Park STILL kicks most FX movies' *** to this day. :lol
Word. Maybe not that much but JP's FX sure holds up beautifully :lol.

Still want to re-watch that Signs sometime.

Mate, except for maybe some of the obvious animatronic close ups, the FX in JP1 are virtually seamless!

You really can't say that about many modern FX movies.

Don't get me wrong, I agree with you.

Although I think the animatronics are the best part, I meant the CGI in a few scenes can look the teeeeniest tiny little wonky, nothing bad even for today's standards, which is already impressive, and nothing that will take you out of immersion or distract you the way some movies do today.

THE WOLF PACK. A documentary film a very DEEP and original and amazing has a very eerie feel to this one and kept on waiting for something crazy to go down. If you love Tarantino you will enjoy his fans in this one. A must see differnt type movie give a 8.

STRAIT OUTTA COMPTON.
I been listening to EASY ,DRE ,CUBE and some N.W.A since hi school but feel like i got schooled on this movie. I Knew Easy died and LOVED ***** and me friends jammed Gimme that nut song LOL and many other jam's. Song's from E TO Q to DRe to Snoop n 2PAC but knew SUGE KNIGHT was bad. I feel this movie gave a lot to clear thing's up on it all on darkside of Fame. Anyway a lot of heart n soul in this one and the actor's did a excellent job give this one a 8.

I agree, there are a few scenes of CGI in JP1 that look underdeveloped (Brachiosaur sneezing comes to mind) But even with that misstep, it's still the best execution of CGI in film currently... I can't believe it's held this title for over 20 years now.

Brachiosaur sneezing did look a bit off when I last watched it yeah. As do some of the CG Raptor in the kitchen shots, but otherwise.....
