Not so fast. A-dev's use of 'shall' implies a future tense. In other words, he has not yet awarded a score of 8, but intends to do so at some time in the future. This denotes, I'm afraid, a contemptible lack of commitment on his part.

In your own post, you apply 'hath' as a past-participle, where its proper use is in the third person singular present tense.
:lol

You need to go pick a barney with Pixelpiper now.

Nightcrawler: 6.5/10

It was okay. A good character study and Gyllenhall played him very well. It was also an interesting look at those freelance camera men for the news (if there was any truth to any of it), and Bill Paxton was great as a rival camera man.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2: 92/100

I really don't see what is so bad about this film that everyone ****s on it.

Yeah sure Max Dillion is kind of a *****, and his portrayal for the film is made to look like a *****. I'll also admit that Rhino was made to ****. I like the Ultimate design, but again, I myself would never want to cast a Giammati as Rhino. Just doesn't make sense tbh.

I get it's a whole love story, but jeez, when is there a Spidey comic that IS NOT based on his love life. Everything is based off of it. And if that doesn't happen, it manages to incorporate Aunt May.

I love the costume, has to be the best live-action costume to date. The logo is meh, but I didn't say perfect, just the best version.

I love the dynamic chemistry between Garfield and Stone, and honestly Garfield and Dehaan aren't bad as buddies.

Shame to see Cooper be wasted quickly as Norman; but I'm sure Sony was going somewhere with it, guess we'll never know.

I like the idea of a hybrid Goblin, seems a bit more realistic, but it's comic films; you can't get too realistic unless you are Nolan.

Overall, fun film and is easily considered the best Spider-Man IMO. Very emotional, and just superb action. The effects will certainly be outdated, and can seem a bit much, but I see this as merely an entertainment film -- like every other CBM.

Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny (Netflix Original): 6.5/10

Not nearly as elegant or artistic as the original but still very engaging and overall a worthy sequel IMO.

All these talks about RoboCop made me want to rewatch...

Prime Directives:
Dark Justice ----- 9/10
Meltdown ------- 7/10
Resurrection ---- 6/10
Crash and Burn - 5/10

The Witch - 9/10

Let me start off by saying that this movie is not for everyone, I myself felt inclined to walk out after a rather disturbing scene in the early part of the film. It will also not effect everyone the same way, I think being a parent makes me more susceptible to its style of dread, which is exactly what permeates this film, unceasingly. The movie is a slow burn, the family's isolation serves to amplify the horror the family is going through, being ripped apart by forces both external and internal. It isn't something that is really left to interpretation, the supernatural forces at work are real in the context of the film, and the environment and mundane things like wild animals and domesticated animals are used to eerie effect. If you live in an isolated, wooded area, this movie may make you long for the suburbs. There were times where the accents coupled with the use of old English made some of the dialogue difficult to discern, but it doesn't get in the way of the story, you know what's going on even if you can't always hear clearly what is being said.

The movie is shot beautifully in a banal, muted way. the acting is flawless, and really, there are no real flaws in the film.

I think many will find the ending a let down, as there will be no
Coomeuppance or happy resolution
. The movie pulls no punches, it can be a hard one for many to watch, but it is very, very good and probably the most wholly original film i have seen in years and I look forward to seeing what this Director does next.
